Thank God for the Babylon Bee Recognizing Bud Light Destroyer as MAN of the Year

If you're like me you have to sit back for a moment and think about how many times over the past year you've read a headline either on Facebook or X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) and said to yourself, damn those people at the Babylon Bee are brilliant.

I think I’m up to at least 50 for this month alone.

We live in an upside-down world and an amazingly crazy time where the normal things of just a couple of years ago are no longer the norm as my colleague Jennifer Oliver O'Connell observed the other day in her post...

Transgender Cyclists Continue Their Attempts to Bludgeon Biological Female Athletes Into Submission

Twenty-five-year-old Tessa Johnson and thirty-year-old Evelyn Williamson won first place and second place in the Chicago CycloCross Cup. The duo have made headlines this summer for dominating women's races, along with another transgender cyclist named Austin Killips. Award-winning former competitive cyclist Hannah Arensman cites her altercation with Killips as part of the reason why she chose to retire from the sport.

A biological woman named Allison Zmuda did win the third-place bronze award and meekly stood next to these two towering men in "womanface" who pretended they accomplished something great. The tragic part of this is that Zmuda is smiling, simply going along to get along, acting as if this is perfectly normal.

Newsflash: It will NEVER be normal. These men have not only made a complete farce of women's sports but have spit on the sweat equity and achievements of women worldwide. How is this progress?

Somehow that is considered normal today, and when you think about it for a long time, you can't help but laugh. This is why the Babylon Bee and their amazing staff of writers can take things that would once be considered straight fantasy -- mixed with comedy -- and mock the absurd of our new reality. Then they write something like this right here...

It is time once again to honor one man who has gone above and beyond to advance the cause of men and raise the bar for what other men seek to accomplish.

The Babylon Bee has chosen Dylan Mulvaney to receive the 2023 Man of the Year award.

Already a proven force to be reckoned with on the Chinese spy app TikTok, Mulvaney has gone on to make his mark as a celebrity spokesman powerful enough to utterly destroy the reputations of big-name consumer brands. None of them were more notable than Bud Light, the one-time top-selling beer, which hired Mulvaney as its pitchman last spring only to suffer the most precipitous financial freefall in the history of the beer industry. Once thought to be an invincible brand in the beverage world, Bud Light was brought to its knees by the man — the legend — that is Dylan Mulvaney.

MAN OF THE YEAR.

GENIUS.

Flipping the counterculture back off its head to a correct standing position and hearing the popping of the blood vessels for doing so is simply one of the greatest tactics ever in the history of anything. I’m so ashamed I didn't think of it; I might stop writing altogether.

In my 54 years of walking the Big Blue Marble we call Earth and growing up in the era where Tom Hanks once did a sitcom called "Bosom Buddies" (in which he dressed up as a woman to get a discount for ladies in a housing unit), this was never imaginable. No one would have ever believed that men pretending to be women would ever be accepted as such a regular thing.

However, here is the genius of the Babylon Bee and its staff.

They attacked this nonsense head-on by attacking the premise that has popped up over the past couple of years of men pretending to be women, winning the Women of the Year Awards the first couple of years that they assumed that they were a woman. They flip it back to Dylan being Man of the Year, and I can't love this any more than the tacos I just ate which were damn delicious.

The Bee hilariously flips that narrative back on its head and correctly gives credit where credit is due -- which is being a man.

Dylan Mulvaney, whose partnership with Bud Light single-handedly destroyed that brand in less than 12 months, is a one-man wrecking ball, and only a man could destroy something as iconic as Bud that quickly.

I will talk about this next Monday on my Facebook LIVE show Duke Over America at 10 am EDT, and you can hop on and watch and comment if you have the time. This is the type of nonsense that needs to be called out and crushed to Make America Sane Again -- and possibly not get overrun by the Arkham Asylum crowd.

Until then, watch a short bit by Dave Chappelle talking about this very thing the Babylon Bee is.

If I'm wrong, let me know by scrolling down to my bio below and checking me out on Twitter or Facebook for my radio show page. I'm looking for some hope, so send it along.
