See Ya: Trump Tells Drunk-Driving Foreigners to Hit the Road and Hand Over Their Visas

While Anthony Fauci's non-testimony was grabbing headlines on Wednesday, President Trump made a quiet move to make the streets of the United States safer – a move that needs more attention and, hopefully, will lead to more irresponsible foreigners being given a one-way ticket home.

The Department of Justice has confirmed that five foreign nationals living in the U.S. will have their visas yanked after they were arrested for driving under the influence, thus endangering all those on the road around them.

“These five foreign nationals disregarded our laws and put our citizens at risk through their dangerous and reckless actions on the road,” State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott told the Daily Signal. “We will not allow foreign nationals who violate the terms of their visa, break our laws, and endanger American citizens to remain in the United States.”

These weren't just cases of visa-holders getting behind the wheel of a car after having a bit too much to drink and getting caught, these were criminal acts done by people we have no obligation to host.

One of those whose visa has been yanked was arrested for "disorderly conduct, resisting arrest with violence, drunk driving, and domestic violence." Another was charged with "aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol level nearly double the legal limit while transporting a minor."

The others getting booted from the U.S. had equally bad behavior, with one arrested for DUI with a "blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit." To make things worse, that driver showed up drunk to a court-mandated DUI program. And then there's the foreign national charged with "driving with heroin and a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit."

Crikey. Certainly not the best of the best, are they?

The crackdown by the Trump administration apparently began after a deadly crash last year in California. In that case, an illegal alien from India, who had crossed the southern border during the Biden administration, failed to hit the brakes on his big rig truck and slammed into a car in front of him, killing three people. This prompted the administration to take a closer look at who was allowed to obtain U.S. drivers licenses. Turns out, some pretty bad people.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt tweeted out the news, which hopefully means the Trump administration is considering enforcing this on much larger scale.

Let's hope this move is just the beginning. Foreign nationals are guests in this country, and driving drunk or otherwise treating our laws like suggestions should be the fastest possible route to the departure gate. “No more second chances for foreign visitors who put American lives at risk,” a State Department official said. “Visa revoked.”

Exactly right. We have absolutely no obligation to keep dangerous foreigners here while they rack up arrests and put Americans in jeopardy.
