Whoa, This Was Unexpected: Mount Everest Guides Accused of Poisoning Climbers for Profit

My desire to spend tens of thousands of dollars, put my body through grueling pain, and face extreme and very possibly deadly perils just so I can get a selfie on top of a mountain has just grown lower, if that’s possible.

Panic at the DNC: Schumer, Jeffries Sue Over Trump's Mail-In Ballot Fraud Crackdown

The president is simply demanding basic citizenship checks and verified mail-in ballot lists—measures that every American should support regardless of party. Only the Democrats take issue with election integrity.

Is the 51st State Dream Closer to Reality? A Secession Movement in Canada Is Gaining Traction

Looking at this lot of insufferable posturing scolds, you understand the pragmatic thinkers in Alberta wanting to cut out and head off on their own. That clip serves as the perfect rationale for the tagline used in this separatist movement: “We’re Done”.

Either way, it was journalistic malpractice at its finest. One is just stupidity, while the other is evil, but neither is acceptable or forgivable.

Hot Air — Things Are Not Going Well for Nike, Such a Shame

Nike's hypocrisy was pretty glaring in China compared to its promotion of Kaepernick in the US. So it's amusing that it has failed to fix its China sales problem despite bending over backwards not to offend the communists.

PJ Media — Thursday Essay: What in the Actual Hell Is Going on in China?

The only thing I know for sure is, whenever I ask, "What in the actual Hell is going on in China?" nobody can answer. Nobody, that is, except for Xi Jinping and his inner circle who remain stealthy enough not to say anything at all.

Townhall — Scott Jennings Took the CNN Panel to School on Birthright Citizenship and NATO Last Night

CNN’s Scott Jennings remains the network’s rational voice, and one that keeps many a show relevant. CNN has some good contributors, and I’m including some liberals too, but the sea of random communications folks from loser Democrat campaigns must be thinned out at some point.

Some people have no problem being so loud and so wrong. Sigh.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

The critters remain on break, but GOP leadership in the House and Senate is working on a plan to fund DHS without the Democrats' help (or interference).

White House What's Up

President Trump, of course, addressed the nation last night to give an update on Operation Epic Fury and ongoing strikes against Iran.

Keeping Up With the Cabinet

Sec. Veterans Affairs - Doug Collins — Collins was in Arkansas on Wednesday, meeting with Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders and discussing ways to expand support for veterans.

Full Court Press...

The courts weren't quite so busy on Wednesday, but we did have a few decisions of note:

  • ❌ In United Farm Workers v. Noem (Operation Return to Sender), Judge Jennifer Thurston (Eastern District of California) GRANTS plaintiffs' motion to enforce judgment.
  • ✅ In Lazaro Maldonado Bautista v. Ernesto Santacruz Jr (immigration detention policy), 9th Circuit Court of Appeals GRANTS admin's motion for stay pending appeal.
  • ❌ In ABA v. Executive Office of the President (actions against law firms), Judge Amir Ali DENIES admin's motion to dismiss.

Then, too, there was the oral argument before the Supreme Court in the birthright citizenship case. Look for the decision in that one to land toward the end of June.

COMING ATTRACTIONS

The annual Easter Egg Roll will take place next Monday, April 6.

MORNING MUSING

"Houston...we have a problem." I couldn't help it — it's what immediately came to mind when I saw this tweet.

Now...the good news is that the Terlet Troubles appear to have been worked out. 🚽

Just so happens my predecessor on the morning show is an actual rocket scientist. Here's our conversation with him this morning regarding Artemis — and the now-remedied WC Woes.
