It's definitely seemed like a bit of a slog, but one by one, President Donald Trump's nominees are making their way through the confirmation process. And, while it may not be happening quickly enough for his supporters' tastes, it is proceeding at a faster clip than in his previous administration (and Biden's, for that matter).

BREAKING: Senate Intelligence Committee Decides Whether Tulsi Gabbard's DNI Nomination Will Proceed

New: Tulsi Gabbard Gets 'Huge' News Ahead of Committee Vote As Debate Over Her DNI Nomination Continues

The Senate, being the deliberative body that it is, has several procedural steps built in to the confirmation process. On Monday, former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (HI) cleared a critical procedural hurdle as the Senate voted on the motion to invoke cloture on her nomination.

With a final tally of 52-46, the motion passed. That sets the 30-hour clock running to allow for debate on the nomination, which means the final vote on Gabbard's confirmation will be held on Wednesday, with the vote on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services set to follow that.

First, we’ll hold a procedural vote on the floor today to start the 30-hour debate clock on my friend, @TulsiGabbard. This sets up a Wednesday confirmation vote.

I know— it’s a long process. We WILL confirm Tulsi and RFK Jr. this week. I’ll keep you updated.

Also, on Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on the nomination of Kash Patel for FBI director. Slowly but surely, the cabinet is coming together.
