We've written extensively about the out-of-control "protesting" that has been happening outside of the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in Newark, New Jersey, with leftist agitators pulling out all the stops to try to stop immigration enforcement agents from doing their jobs in keeping American communities safe from criminal illegal aliens.
There have been attempted blockades of the agents at the facility, where the criminal illegals are processed for deportation. There has also been violence, along with despicable threats, with one "peaceful protester" caught on tape threatening the lives of an ICE agent and the agent's entire family.
The rioter proclaimed that he had seen an agent's face, and that he would "kill your whole f**king family." Fortunately, according to Acting DOJ Attorney General Todd Blanche, the agitator has been arrested. But as history has shown us, this will not stop The Usual Suspects from trying to impede operations by any means necessary.

As we also reported, Democrat Gov. Mikie Sherrill was suddenly concerned about "lowering the temperature" on Friday after days of adding fuel to the protesters' rage machine by siding with them over ICE on the issue of taking criminal illegals off the streets. Sherrill even made an appearance at Delaney Hall on Memorial Day in a pathetic stunt designed to show support for the demonstrators and detainees.
But on Friday, Sherrill pivoted to more of a law-and-order stance, announcing that a protest zone "established by law enforcement" would be created so the protesters could do their thing "peacefully." Even though the state police did eventually move in, Sherrill's stance was one that no one bought, including the agitators who continued to lash out and wreak havoc Friday night and Saturday night.
As Sherrill gave a speech on Saturday, encouraging the leftists to keep protesting, she condemned the ones from out of state who reportedly were arrested, stating, “To the people coming from out of state to create chaos and dangerous situations, you should not be here. You are not helping the people detained at Delaney Hall, you are not helping detainee families, and you’re certainly not keeping New Jersey safe."
But amid her calls on Friday and Saturday for "peaceful" protests to continue, her declaration that she will do what it takes to keep New Jersey residents safe, and her claims that ICE was causing most of the problems, the clashes continued to play out. This split screen from Fox News captured the contrasts perfectly between Sherrill's words and what was continuing to happen (language warning):

It reminds me a lot of what we saw on CNN and MSNBC during the George Floyd riots, when we were being told by journos that the "protests" were "mostly peaceful" even as buildings were burning behind them and looters were running out of stores that had broken glass doors and windows. Except this time, it was members of the press who were the ones being honest in telling the real story.
We criticize the media a lot here for good reasons, and Fox News has not been immune from that criticism from time to time. But this is just a reminder that mainstream media news outlets still have a vital role to play in getting the truth out, if they choose to do so.
Reliably informing the public is the job of the press, helping the citizens of this country to draw informed conclusions and opinions on their own regarding what's going on in their neck of the woods.
Though it doesn't happen as much as it used to, when the media does get it right, it's worth mentioning. Hats off to the Fox News crew involved in putting this out there for the world to see.
