Watch: 'GOAT Gov' Ron DeSantis Spikes Ball on Hakeem Jeffries As He Recaps Big Week for Florida

One of the worst things you can do as a politician trying to one-up your political opposition is to poke the wrong bear.

As RedState reported, Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) did this very recently when he tried to warn Florida off of redrawing their maps after Virginia voters narrowly approved a referendum that would pave the way for Virginia Democrats to go from a 6-5 advantage in the House of Representatives to possibly a 10-1 advantage if the new map holds.

"If they go down the road of a DeSantis dummymander, the Florida Republicans are going to find themselves in the same situation as Texas Republicans, who are on the run right now," Jeffries proclaimed during an April 22nd presser. "The Republicans are dummymandering their way into the minority before a single vote is cast."

"Our message to Florida Republicans is, ‘F around and find out,'" Jeffries added.

In response, DeSantis did two things: He jokingly begged Jeffries to come to his state, saying, "There's nothing that could be better for Florida Republicans than to see Hakeem Jeffries everywhere around this state!" The second thing? Get a new map passed just a few days later.

In the aftermath of the Supreme Court ruling in the Louisiana v. Callais case on Wednesday, Jeffries has been in an even bigger snit.

Watching the Democrat Minority Leader's tears flow has been a chef's kiss for DeSantis, who took a victory lap on Thursday on the passage of the new Florida map as only he can.

"We gon' do maximum warfare against Republicans! Florida Republicans, you F around, you gonna find out!" DeSantis mocked and gestured, putting on his best New York accent.

"He's like, 'oh, if you do the redistricting, we're going to take out all your members, we're going to do all this stuff.' And what I said was, go ahead, make my day," DeSantis continued.

DeSantis went on to advise, "You want to come down here and spend money in Florida, roll the dice, and take your chances. But don't think that you can come down here, issue threats to us, and somehow you're going to make us flinch."

He concluded by noting that the flinching "did not happen, because as soon as he came out and started doing that last week, the Florida legislature turned around and they passed a new map."

Watch:

Republicans don't call him the "GOAT GOV" for nothin', y'all.  You love to see it, you truly do.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
