As RedState previously reported, President Donald Trump has come out swinging against a report from the Wall Street Journal, saying he will sue the newspaper over a "scoop" they published Thursday related to a birthday card allegedly sent by Trump to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein back in 2003.
The story noted that Trump denied he wrote the letter, saying it was a "fake thing" and that "I never wrote a picture in my life. I don't draw pictures of women. It's not my language. It's not my words."
On Truth Social, Trump announced that he "will be suing The Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp, and Mr. Murdoch, shortly" on defamatory grounds, saying he was originally given assurances that the letter would not be published, and correctly pointing out that if there had been anything damning about his long ago association with the now-deceased Epstein it would have come out way before now.

Amid Trump's push for the American people to move on from the Epstein files, which came after the DOJ concluded there was no "client list," no blackmailing of high-profile figures, and that Epstein had committed suicide, Democrats are now trolling Republicans over the controversial subject, feigning concern and demanding the release of all of the files.
Among them has been Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), who, along with other Judiciary Committee Democrats, is pushing for "Chair Jordan to subpoena the files and hold a public hearing where Trump’s top DOJ and FBI staff testify under oath about the Epstein case," suggesting that not doing so would be "dangerous to public health and safety."
On Thursday, Raskin appeared on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program, where co-host Joe Scarborough caught the Trump 2016 election denier way off guard when he inquired why Democrats didn't do more on the Epstein files under Joe Biden's watch if the issue was so important.
Raskin fumbled through his answer, which amounted to Democrats supposedly being busy with other priorities, while stating he wasn't privy to then-DOJ Attorney General Merrick Garland's agenda list. It was embarrassing, an answer entirely befitting of someone as wildly partisan and anti-Trump as Raskin:
Scarborough: Mr Congressman, you could’ve gotten that from ‘21 to ‘25 when Democrats controlled the DOJ. Why -- it was a crisis then, it’s a crisis now. Why didn’t Democrats call for it from ‘21 to ‘25?
Raskin: So, I mean, you’d have to go back and look specifically at particular prosecutorial decisions, um, and what was taking place in terms of the other cases. So, I don’t know, we could try to reconstruct that record.
But the point is, is that Donald Trump is the one who has led the crusade to say that Epstein, who was his very close friend, and there’s all kinds of pictures of them and so on, that Epstein was at the center of this broad conspiracy. He’s now in a position to do exactly what he demanded, which was to release all of the files. And so why is that not happening? That’s the question.
I can’t answer for Merrick Garland or any of, you know, anybody else in the Department of Justice.

The fact of the matter is, Democrats only "care" about issues like this when they think it can hurt Republicans by sowing division and doubt among conservatives.
While opinions vary on the conclusions drawn by Trump's DOJ, make no mistake: Democrats had plenty of opportunity to use the Epstein files against Trump in the event there was any "there" there. But there's not, so they've been reduced to their theatrical "for the children" antics amid demands from the party faithful that they get rough and aggressive towards Trump even if it means shedding some blood.
Just pathetic. Not that anyone should be surprised, of course. But needs to be said all the same.
Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into the "Golden Age" as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
