Fake News: Biden Campaign Caught Pulling Another Fast One With Trump Quote From 'Border Bloodbath' Speech

As RedState reported earlier, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre bizarrely went into self-reboot mode during the Monday press briefing over a question from Fox News' WH correspondent Peter Doocy asking if it was also wrong when Joe Biden said the word "bloodbath" (which he has done).

The question came in the aftermath of other reporters noting that Donald Trump, the presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee, was using the term as a campaign slogan of sorts, referring to the Biden border crisis as "Biden's border bloodbath" during a speech he gave earlier in Michigan in which the "border bloodbath" was the theme.

During that same Trump speech, the former POTUS also referenced the tragic death of 22-year-old Augusta University nursing student Laken Riley, who was killed in February during a morning jog on the University of Georgia campus, allegedly by a 26-year-old illegal immigrant named Jose Antonio Ibarra.

“The Democrats say, ‘Please don’t call them animals. They’re humans.' I said, ‘No, they’re not humans, they’re not humans, they’re animals,’” Trump stated.

If you were following the Biden campaign Twitter account, though, that's not the version you got. Here's the shortened video clip and summary they tweeted:

The unedited version, though, shows exactly what Trump really said:

Just like the "bloodbath" and "very fine people" hoaxes, there are no lows to which Democrats and their campaign arms (including the MSM) will not stoop in trying to emotionally manipulate voters by using deceptive quotes taken out of context, or in this case, just flat out making up something that wasn't said at all.

Shockingly enough, this is one time the press got it right, with the Associated Press of all places even acknowledging the context of Trump's comments:

In his remarks, Trump also again mentioned the killing of Laken Riley, a nursing student in Georgia, for which a Venezuelan man is charged. Riley’s family attended Trump’s rally in Georgia last month and met with him backstage.

Trump referred to the suspect in Riley’s death as an “illegal alien animal.”

“The Democrats say, ‘Please don’t call them animals. They’re humans.’ I said, ‘No, they’re not humans, they’re not humans, they’re animals,’” he said.

I mean you know the Biden campaign looks desperate when not even their faithful media allies will play along.

For those keeping score at home on the Biden White House's response to Riley's death, four days after Riley was killed and after repeatedly being asked by the MSM, a spokesperson issued a very brief, canned statement.  Four days later, on March 1st, Laken Riley was laid to rest on a rainy day in her hometown of Woodstock, Georgia. What did Joe Biden do that day? Tweet about George Floyd.

The first time Joe Biden said her name was two weeks after her murder during his State of the Union address, where - after being pressed by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) - he referred to her as "Lincoln Riley" and briefly expressed condolences to the family. Insultingly, he then proceeded to trivialize her death by asking how many murders were committed by "legals" versus "illegals."

And to add insult to injury, he later expressed "regret" after Democrats scolded him for referring to Ibarra as an "illegal," because apparently we're supposed to show sensitivity now to alleged murderers.

But yeah, Trump's the monster here for referring to her alleged killer and others who have allegedly committed violent crimes in the United States as "animals." You run with that this time around, Biden campaign. In a climate where clear majorities disapprove of the way Biden is handling the border crisis, we'll see how far it gets you.
