Poor Eric Swalwell's Day Gets Worse as 'Cocaine Mitch' Campaign Tweets Him a Too Bad, So Sad Sayonara

As Red State‘s Brandon Morse wrote this morning, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) is expected to be the first Democratic candidate to drop out of the presidential race.

First, a brief recap via the LA Times:

Rep. Eric Swalwell is expected to abandon his uphill run for president Monday and announce that he will instead seek a fifth term in the House.

Swalwell’s plans were confirmed by a Capitol Hill source with knowledge of his intentions.

After scrapping a visit to New Hampshire — the first primary state — Swalwell scheduled a news conference Monday afternoon in his East Bay congressional district, where he was expected to announce his decision. Officials with his campaign declined to discuss the matter before the news conference.

Swalwell had sent mixed signals on his intention to run again if his White House bid failed. In February, before announcing his candidacy, Swalwell told the San Francisco Chronicle he would “burn the boats” and not look back on his House seat.

As we anxiously await Swalwell’s anticipated official (tearful?) exit from the race later today, the campaign of Sen. Majority Leader “Cocaine Mitch” McConnell decided to entertain us all in a way they have proven time and time again that only they can:

Ouch.

Considering Swalwell’s lame apologies for being a “white guy”, his gross Constitutional ignorance, and his despicable treatment of women who disagree with him, that he will be the first candidate to bow out of the race seems only fitting.

Couldn’t be happening to a more deserving guy.
