It's a wonderful thing to sometimes remember that the people holding power are real people too, with all those foibles and issues all the rest of us have.

We're so used to seeing them in political settings or dealing with various crises.

So it was nice to see a normal husband-and-wife interaction between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his wife Jeanette during an interview on Katie Miller's podcast, as they let their hair down.

Miller asked Jeanette what one thing was that she disagreed with her husband about.

"One???" Marco scoffed, indicating there was far more than one, and they all started laughing.

Jeanette said in response that it involved things he stresses over. She explained how everything with him had to be scheduled, while she's less *that* way and more spontaneous.

Rubio teased her, "Some things are great about spontaneity, and some things are not. You know, like for example, like flights."

Marco said he prepared for the "worst case scenario" because if he was prepared, "nothing will ever surprise you." That's probably a good trait for someone with his job - or any higher job.

"Have we ever missed a flight?" she queried.

"No, because..." he said, pointing to himself and obviously crediting his preparation approach.

Now that looks like a nice, very normal relationship.

They showed an easy way throughout the interview.

We reported previously how Rubio joked and told tales about Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's cat, as well as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr's meat cooler, how he was always hauling sauerkraut everywhere. While Rubio said he supported the goals of MAHA (Make America Healthy Again), his wife gave him up, saying he ate bad things, including Pop-Tarts. Marco protested, insisting they were a great American invention.

Rubio also got some attention with what he said about UFOs/UAPs, saying there were, in fact, things flying over military installations that were "not ours." He said they were a legitimate concern and it had to be determined what they were.

Robert Kennedy had a great response to the interview and Rubio's comment. Since Rubio mocked his meat cooler, he had some thoughts about how Rubio traveled with his Pop-Tarts.

Rubio quipped:
