Hot Takes: People Level Platner After Tweet That Reminds Everyone of That Tattoo

The folks over at Graham Platner's campaign are not doing a very good job.

With him already in a storm of scandal over having a Nazi tattoo, all manner of vile remarks on social media, and now a sexting revelation roiling the campaign, you might think they would choose to lay low. Or at least be temperate in what they say.

But apparently, whoever is behind the Graham Platner for Senate account didn't get that memo. Maybe, and this is just a thought, when you're trying to convince people that the Nazi tattoo that you had doesn't mean anything, maybe this isn't the tweet to make, attacking Collins for getting money from American Jews.

Susan Collins's latest financial report just came out.

A staggering one-third of her money raised this quarter came directly from AIPAC.

Senator Collins is bought and paid for by Benjamin Netanyahu, and she votes accordingly.

He also claims that she is "bought and paid for by Benjamin Netanyahu."

Gee, is it surprising that American Jews (and virtually anyone else) might not be too jazzed about a guy who has such a tattoo and has expressed a variety of unsavory views?

You can check out the math that Platner is alleging, and that isn't making a lot of sense. But the money going through AIPAC is mostly individual donations, not from the PAC itself.  So is he really saying individuals don't have a right to contribute to someone running against him?

But notice he immediately jumps to "support from AIPAC" means she's "bought and paid for by Benjamin Netanyahu." AIPAC is an American organization. But more to the point, if she was "bought and paid for" by Bibi, why did she vote for the War Powers resolution to stop the Iran action? That would sound like a rather poor investment.

The attempt to paint her as a Trump sycophant actually insults the intelligence of anyone who has a brain cell and is just one more example of how ridiculous the Platner campaign is.

But it's one more example of why, even if I might have disagreements with Collins as to votes like that, she is such a better candidate than this character. I don't think people are going to be distracted from the problems he has by this attack.

People understandably went to town on Platner for this one.
