Midterms are getting closer, and Republicans are going to need to go all in to show they are the better choice. Midterms historically tend to run against the party in power, so they have that deficit up front.
But wins in the redistricting battle have been buoying Republican hopes. Plus, it's been quite something to watch Democrats like House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) lose their minds and attack the courts when they lose. It's why they're screaming and scrambling to stop the GOP redistricting wins, even postulating nutty schemes like trying to boot the Virginia Supreme Court judges who voted in a way they didn't like.

Now CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten has some more good news for Republicans and what he termed "a big time reality check" for Democrats.

Enten explained that not only hadn't Democrats' generic Congressional ballot lead expanded; it had, in fact, shrunk since March. They had been up six points in March, but now it was only three points, with "no clear leader" and "within the margin of error," Enten emphasized.
Enten explained that, with the redistricting, that might not be enough for the Democrats, because they were assessing that the Democrats would need to lead by three to four points to win, making it basically a toss-up. And that's presuming Democrats perform up to polls, which they often don't.
The Democrats know — it's why they're freaking out. Even if they manage to squeak by, it isn't going to be the win they hoped for. And they know they could very well lose.
Then, too, if the Iranian action successfully concludes and gas prices right themselves, that will further help the Republicans' chances. Because ultimately, that's what it always comes down to — the economy and the pocketbook issues.
But at this point. Democrats have lost the plot. All they care about is their own power and attacking President Donald Trump. They don't have any positive economic policies or any other policies to offer people that will better anyone's life. Although they will certainly throw around "affordability" a lot and claim they care.

The Republicans need to do a full-court press on getting things done and promoting the positives over the past two years — and those that are coming — in addition to reminding everyone of how bad the Democrats have been and what a horror show things were under Joe Biden. Because if Democrats win, any positives will stop, and all we will have is Democrats spending all their time on a retribution tour to get Trump and members of his administration, as well as trying to go after the courts.
