We just had the ceasefire agreement on Tuesday night, and already Iran is, of course, being Iran.
But they're already off to the races, falsely characterizing what was agreed to. First, there was no agreement on any of their 10-point demands, as they claim.

Then, too, there was a report from the AP that Iran and Oman agreed to charge fees for transit. The Omani defense minister has put paid to that false report.

Omani Transport Minister on imposing fees on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz: Oman has signed all agreements that stipulate no fees shall be imposed.
Iran allegedly agreed to keep the Strait open for the two weeks. But they're allegedly already causing trouble, according to a statement from their own state media.
Fox's Trey Yingst said he observed two tankers going through the Strait of Hormuz. Now, Iranian state media was saying it was going to stop ships from transiting because of Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

But Lebanon had not been part of the ceasefire deal, according to the United States.
So it sounds like Iran is trying to bootstrap more out of the deal by trying to use the Strait to protect its proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Then too, as Yingst points out, the Iranians also hit the Saudi East-West pipeline, which is one of the alternatives to the Strait. So that isn't exactly within the ceasefire either, and it shows they want to harm alternatives.
But they'd already violated it by firing on Israel and their neighbors.

Yingst also referenced a statement from President Donald Trump that any deal would account for the enriched uranium — a key concern of the U.S. to prevent Iran from making a nuclear weapon. That's one of their main objectives, along with the other nuclear weapons aspects and destroying their ballistic missile capacity.
But White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt disputed the report regarding Iran re-closing the Strait, saying their reports indicated that ships were getting through, that this was another example of how what Iran is saying publicly is different from what is actually happening or what they are saying privately.

Leavitt said the public reports were false.
So we'll have to see if this holds up. The fundamental problem here is that Iran is not an honest actor. It's hard to have a deal with a state like that.
It's going to be an interesting two weeks.
