President Donald Trump had a busy day with the Easter Egg roll and a press briefing on Iran at the White House on Monday.
But he had one encounter with a PBS reporter that is going viral. The reporter asked how it was taking care of the Iranian people, if you're bombing? Now that question indicates that the person who asked it hasn't been watching the thousands of Iranian people who have come out in the streets in support of the action against the regime, and who see this as finally a chance for them to get their freedom. It ignores the thousands who went out into the streets in Iran to protest and were killed for their bravery. Trump dunked all over the reporter.

TRUMP: Yeah, who are you with?
REPORTER: PBS.

Trump inquired, "Yeah, who are you with?"
"PBS," the reporter replied.
"Well, that's a radical left group of lunatics if you will," he shot back. But then he laid out just how important this was to many of the Iranian people.
"Let me just tell you, let me just tell you. The Iranian people, when they don't hear bombs go off, they're upset! They want to hear bombs because they want to be free. And the only reason they're not out protesting, you know that, is because they were informed that if they protest, like the wrestler and his friends, if they protest, they will be shot immediately!"
Now that might sound crazy to the reporter, but if she lived under an actual oppressive regime, she might understand why so many Iranians have been cheering Trump on and supporting his efforts. It's because of things like the execution of 19-year-old champion wrestler Saleh Mohammadi, the wrestler Trump mentioned. Plus, the bombs aren't targeting the people; they're targeting regime targets. So the people know they are not the intended targets.
So Trump's right, I've seen that sentiment from the account of Iranian people on X and from those who have family still in Iran.

The people have just had enough. I wrote last month about how an Iranian woman confronted a protester at an antiwar march in London with a "Stop the Bombing" sign. She ripped her to shreds and said exactly that, that the young people welcomed the bombs, because that might mean people could be free, and they so desperately wanted that.
