I'm not sure how many times CBS' Face the Nation host Margaret Brennan has stepped in it and gotten decimated by the Trump team for liberal takes.
I know that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has dealt her more than one schooling on the faces, and we've certainly written a fair amount about her bad questions.

However, on Sunday, she had on Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT). When you think of horrible Democrats in Congress, there are a lot of names that might come up, but you'd certainly have to put him up there on the list. He'll say anything to push the Democratic narrative.
But he was nailed by Brennan during his interview on Sunday, as our sister site Townhall reported. Brennan reminded Murphy that he had been critical in the past of the tactic to shut down the government, including when it was a "discussion over healthcare." Then she played back his own words from 2018 to him.
🚨 WOW! Democrats failed so miserably on the government shutdown even CBS is BRUTALLY calling them out now

BRENNAN: You've been critical of shutting down the government! 2018 and 2013. Here's what you said in 2018.

The future of the American public healthcare system was a legitimate public policy issue, as is the security of our borders. But we shouldn't be having the discussion amidst a government shutdown, and trying to use our nation's security and all of these federal workers and the work that they do as hostages!
"Aren't you doing today exactly what you were criticizing then?" Brennan asked.
Bingo, exactly! Murphy didn't have much of an answer in response except to say it was an "emergency" that premiums might go up and that democracy was somehow being threatened.
Then she went after the Democrats' position by pointing out Schumer's "every day gets better for us" remark last week.
But the Minority Leader gave an interview to Punchbowl this week. I mean, there is just also the bare bones politics of this. And in that interview, he said, every day this goes on, every day gets better for us. The Speaker of the House said that was this callous statement.
Murphy said Republicans were trying to "spin." By quoting Schumer's own words?

The Democrats are trying to hold workers and the whole government hostage to get the changes that they haven't been able to get through the normal voting process, on issues that they lost on. If they want to have further discussion about the issue, they could, without shutting down the government. But they know they wouldn't get healthcare for illegal aliens, so they're playing games now to try to get what they want and to make Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) look tougher to the leftist base.
When even Brennan is nailing them on the Democrats on their shutdown and their "justifications," you know they're failing in their narrative.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
