White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has been doing a great job in the position. Admittedly, it must take a lot of patience to deal with an often fractious and hostile press corps. But she's certainly quite the change from Karine Jean-Pierre, who never seemed to be able to answer the simplest of questions.
On Monday, Leavitt dispatched one reporter with a perfect response when he asked if President Donald Trump was weaponizing the Department of Justice, as our sister site Townhall reported. The reporter was referencing a Trump post in which Trump seemed frustrated by the lack of DOJ action. The reporter seemed to think he had a "gotcha." He read what Trump had previously said about how "never again" will the government be weaponized against opponents, that "he would not allow that to happen." Is the president going back on that promise, the reporter asked?

"It is NOT "weaponizing the Department of Justice" to demand accountability for those WHO WEAPONIZED THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE!
Nobody knows what that looks like more than President Trump. We are not going to tolerate this gaslighting."

Leavitt said that he was fulfilling his promise by restoring a Department of Justice that "demands accountability."
"It is not weaponizing justice to demand accountability for those who weaponized the Department of Justice," she proclaimed. "And nobody knows what that looks like more than President Trump."
She said they weren't going to tolerate any "gaslighting" from media or Democrats on the issue and that he was reelected with a mandate to address the weaponization of the government.
Do they think we forgot about Trump having his home raided, the fact that he was prosecuted, and the efforts made to kick him off the ballots? Where were the big questions about abuse of power and going after opponents when that was going on? Then Democrats and/or the media have the gall to ask about Trump weaponizing?
Then, in a broader sense, beyond Trump, here's the change that FBI Director Kash Patel said they were bringing on the question of weaponization.
🚨 BREAKING: Jim Jordan just asked Kash Patel a flurry of rapid fire questions and embarrassed every Democrat who has continuously smeared Kash's performance at the FBI.

Meanwhile, you had 58 Democrats who didn't even have enough common decency to go along with a resolution to honor Charlie Kirk after he was assassinated. And some of them, who engaged in attacking Kirk, like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), were even worse.
NEW: Karoline Leavitt slams the 58 House Democrats who voted ‘no’ on a resolution condemning the murder of Charlie Kirk:

Former Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin (now independent) called that out and said it was an indication of why the Democrats are losing people.
We are not the same.
