Manchin Levels AOC for Disgusting Remarks About Charlie Kirk, and Exposes Enormous Problem for Dems

The House had a vote on a resolution to honor Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk and condemn political violence on Friday.

It passed, but 58 Democrats had a completely soulless moment and wouldn't vote for it.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) chose that moment, which was supposed to honor Kirk, to attack and slander him instead, by twisting things he said or taking them out of context.

They couldn't even have some basic human decency and, for once, shut their mouths and hold their thoughts about themselves, or think about someone else for a change.

CNN's Kasie Hunt asked former Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin about his reaction to what AOC had to say.

I don't think she anticipated the response, and she didn't look at all happy with what he had to say. He said this was one of the reasons that the Democrats are losing people like him.

"I was stunned," he said. Manchin continued:

"This is not the place and the time for that at all. If the Democrats, if AOC and the far left, the extreme left...believe that's where the Democratic Party is today, then that will tell you why you lost people like me. And an awful lot. And let me tell you what you've lost. Since the last election, they've [AOC and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt)] been doing their national tour, and thinking boy, that's something, we're really getting into something.

"The Democratic Party has lost more than 160,000 Democrats that [sic] have basically left the Party since November election. So if that's the way the Democratic Party is going, it's getting worse, not better."

Bingo. They think that's picking up some of the leftist base who've always been mouthing off. But in the process, they're losing all those folks in the middle. And those are the folks that they need to win national elections, not the tiny base of radical leftists. That doesn't bode well for the Democrats as we go into the midterms in 2026.

He also laid it out on Bill Maher's HBO show, explaining that Democrats were more concerned with protecting people who could work, but didn't want to.

...you're worried more about a person that's able-bodied and capable of working that won't work, versus me, who will work — there's something wrong!"

The audience applauded that.

Instead of thinking about what the American people want or moving to the center, the Democrats just keep running further left, embracing illegal aliens and attacking law enforcement.

It's not a winning message.

Editor’s Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
