Hot Takes: Dems/Media Losing Their Minds Over Padilla Incident, Break Out the Crocodile Tears

As we reported, Democrats are already ramping up the performance theater over the incident with Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) crashing DHS Secretary Kristi Noem's press briefing.

I reported earlier on Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer flipping out on the floor of the Senate about it and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus holding a protest about it. It's interesting how they already had the narrative in hand within minutes of the incident.

Democrats and media are already starting; the screed is "If they can do it to a senator, they can do it to you," (without, of course, explaining what he did).

Here's the execrable Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) falsely claiming Padilla was pushed out of a "hearing," when it was not a hearing, but a press briefing when he showed up--reportedly without identifying himself--until he was being pushed out of the room, shouting as he moved on the side of the room.

They didn't know until they secured him if that was true, especially given how Padilla behaved.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) went all in, even appearing to cry. Talk about performance theater, this is nuts. These are nothing more than crocodile tears from the Bay State senator.

This is not how you conduct oversight, so she can stop that bull. Maybe they should be more concerned about the violence happening against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Los Angeles and elsewhere, rather than once again trying to fight against the people doing something about it.

Kamala Harris even weighed in on Padilla, calling it "a shameful and stunning abuse of power."

Shall we talk about the people she had removed from her events?

You even had Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) - the one "Republican" - weighing in on how "horrible" it was, because of course.

Homeland Security (DHS) posted video showing Padilla pushing back against the agents, as my colleague Sister Toldjah reported.

Fox's Bill Melugin, who was in the room, nuked the Democrat and liberal media takes.

So if they're trying to turn this into performance theater, it's not going to work because people saw what happened.
