Left Eats Left: Schumer Faces Angry Protesters in NYC at Book Signing

What has Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer done that is productive as a senator?

We've seen him and other members of Congress trying to whip up ridiculous DOGE protests, where he even botched their ridiculous chant. It was so bad that CNN even laughed at him.

Now, he is following in Jake Tapper's footsteps, promoting a book. I think it will need a lot of promotion because who would be interested in buying a book written by Schumer? What does he have to say that would be interesting or worth reading? Especially when you consider what an ineffective member of Congress he is.

The book is titled "Antisemitism in America." Yet, Schumer, as a leader in the Democratic Party, doesn't seem to have done much to quiet the craziness that has erupted on the left on that front.

That came back to bite him during his book signing event at the New York Public Library in Manhattan on Thursday. Schumer was talking about how today, we're still seeing real antisemitism. Even as he said that, a protester stood up and began screaming at him, claiming he was ignoring the "real holocaust" in Gaza. A succession of people then got up at different points during his remarks to yell "Free Palestine" and otherwise slam him. That was funny because the crowd wasn't that big, and it looked like a bunch of them were protesters. So as they were taken out, the audience got progressively smaller.

Even as these protesters were shouting, Schumer attacked people at the Capitol on Jan. 6 for antisemitism in that first video.

One of the protesters read from her phone what she was supposed to say, which was comical.

An older female audience member finally had enough of these characters and she just yelled, "Shut up!" in exasperation at one of them.

In the second video, you had another protester slip in a change of pace with some extra yelling about ICE kidnapping people.

By the end of it, I began to wonder how many people came there to hear Schumer, besides that one woman who yelled "Shut up" at the protesters.

Even though Chuck is a leftist, he's still not left enough for them, it seems. He didn't get any sympathy from either the left or the right in response to Freedom News' X post of the action. And the protesters' shouting was just ridiculous because it wasn't going to change anything at all with Gaza, but I'm sure it made them feel important and like they were doing something.

It did provide a little entertainment with Chuck getting a taste of what happens when your base goes rogue and comes back to haunt you.
