Bill Melugin Demolishes Kamala Harris Over Her '60 Minutes' Border Answer

I have to say I think "60 Minutes" Bill Whitaker did ask some good, probing questions of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz during their interviews Monday.

He highlighted Walz's problem with the truth and Walz was even exposed for a lie he told Whitaker that a Minnesota reporter and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce exposed by weighing in on X. The "I'm a knucklehead" excuse didn't work very well.

Then Whitaker managed to nuke Kamala too with a few good queries. She was constantly failing to answer the questions and offering up word salads. She also revealed what gun she owned -- a Glock. Nobody believed her, and then they pointed out the problems with her responses.

But there appeared to be major editing of the interview, so it left one to wonder what were the big jump cuts hiding/leaving out?

One of Kamala's worst responses was on the border. Check out the look on her face in the following video as Whitaker tells her that the numbers quadrupled under her and Biden. She was not a happy camper when he asked that. Then also Fox's border expert Bill Melugin went to town on her about all the things that she said that were wrong.

60 Minutes repeatedly asks Harris why the Biden/Harris admin waited 3 years to take executive action to curb illegal crossings. She says they introduced a bill upon taking office (that bill would’ve given given an 8 year path to amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants) then pivots to saying Trump killed the bipartisan border deal - which, again, the admin did not attempt until after 3 years of record setting chaos.
Harris never actually answers the question as to why they waited 3 years to attempt to stop the chaos at the executive level. And a reminder about those record setting numbers, they do not include the more than 1.9 million known gotaways who were recorded entering the U.S. without apprehension. Gotaways under Biden/Harris in 3 years were higher than the prior decade of Trump + Obama - combined and there were times when entire chunks of the border were left completely unmanned to focus resources on processing/mass catch & release instead. There were days in 2022 & 2023 when 2,000+ gotaways were being recorded by CBP every day - while at the same time, the admin was falsely claiming the border was “closed” and “secure”.

That's that thing that Kamala wants us to forget. All during Trump's time in office, Democrats attacked measures to secure the border and tried to prevent him from doing things like the wall. He built 450 miles of it anyway, created "Remain in Mexico," and got things largely checked.

Then Biden-Harris came in and blew everything up. For three years they claimed the border was secure. They wouldn't even accept there was a crisis. As the numbers soared, you had ridiculous videos of Harris saying it was "secure." Then once the "bipartisan" border bill failed in January, this became their new false talking point. "Oh, we could have solved the problems, but evil Republicans who didn't want to sign aboard a bad bill that let illegal aliens in are preventing us."

If she can't even answer such questions, even pressed three times, it should be disqualifying.
