The debate on Tuesday night between JD Vance and Tim Walz was a complete rout.

First, because Vance performed so brilliantly, giving a debate masterclass in relatability and making his points about why he and former President Donald Trump were the team to pick. 

Then Walz just imploded. Democrats had been painting him as this guy who could handle his words, and he fell apart. When you're saying you were "friends with school shooters," you just might have blown it. Now it's clear why they were hiding him from interviews, if it wasn't already clear that he isn't up to the job. 

Indeed, the terrified looks on his face were reminiscent of how lost Joe Biden looked at the first debate earlier this year, the one that caused the powers that be to pull Biden.

If you can't handle such a simple debate, this isn't the job for you.

But after the debate, Vance went to the spin room and answered more questions, and Walz went out for pizza, showing they really didn't want him to have to answer any questions. 

This is how delusional Walz was and how he tried to characterize the debate. This was a pretty sad effort at spin.

Yes, Tim, it was a great debate — for JD Vance. 

But just like in the debate, there were a few things that Walz left out, including his ducking questions from the reporters about the debate. They did manage to get in one softball question: What did you think was your strongest moment tonight? Of course, maybe that wasn't such a softball since there really weren't any of those moments for him.

"I think it was a good debate. The voters got to see a contrast. And I think the ending sums it up. [The] democracy issue's important." 

But then he was asked to clarify his bizarre comment about being "friends with school shooters." They were trying to give him an out or a do-over. And he still completely ducked the question. 

He also ducked a question about his lie about being in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacre on June 4, 1989. 

Reporter: Can you clarify what you meant when you said you befriended school shooters?

Walz: *stares at pizza*

Reporter: Why did you say you were in Hong Kong when reports say you weren't?

He ordered sausage pizza. 

I'm just going to guess they're going to go back to keeping him away from the press as much as they can. 

Walz couldn't answer because there really is no answer apart from he has a problem, much like Joe Biden, of being a serial fabulist. And we don't need another one.
