Vance Destroys the 'Weird' Lie, Now Dems Have a Bigger Problem - He's 'Hot'

Prior to the Vice Presidential debate, Democrats had made up all kinds of lies about Ohio Senator and Donald Trump running mate, JD Vance.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz tried to suggest that somehow Vance going to Yale and becoming successful after being poor was "weird." That was a pretty bizarre assertion to begin with — calling working hard to achieve the American dream "weird." But I think Walz proved during the debate who the "weird" one really is. Hint: It's not Vance. If you're talking about being "friends with school shooters," you just might be weird.

I thought that Vance was going to destroy that talking point during the debate, and I think he did, in spades. He needed to come across as not the heavy the Democrats were painting him as. I thought once people saw him, saw how well-spoken and straightforward he is, they were going to like him. I think we're seeing that too in responses on X. And he had to do it in the face of moderators who seemed again to be biased. But finally, a vice president who's intelligent and who can speak well — it's going to be great.

This was just a great opening introduction.

But there was also something else the internet picked up on, and while intelligent and capable are certainly the most important things, being hot, cute, and having great eyes in the mind of voters also tends to blow up the "weird " talking point.

People loved the side-eye look that he did.

Then there were the eyes.

Even Kennedy noticed the eyes and thought Walz might as well.

Here's a little more, but I think you get the drift.

As I said, it's the intelligence and the policy that are the important things, but this definitely is also a plus — when you're in a tough battle, every little bit helps. I think the whole package certainly may have helped with the independent vote during the debate.

Meanwhile, Tim Walz looked horrible, was the gift that kept on giving — to Republicans — and people compared him to Fred Mertz. And you had to feel scared about the prospect of him preparing your food for you, let alone being vice president. Not exactly what I think the Harris people were going for. But they bought this lead weight and it just may have sunk their campaign.
