Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) isn't backing down from her support for the radicals who are camped out at Columbia University in New York City.
In fact, she visited the university this week on Thursday with her daughter Isra Hirsi, who seems to have returned from being suspended.
Omar posted about her visit saying she was "honored" to visit the encampment and pretended that the widespread reports of violence and antisemitism were somehow false:
I had the honor of seeing the Columbia University anti-war encampment firsthand.

Contrary to right-wing attacks, these students are joyfully protesting for peace and an end to the genocide taking place in Gaza.
I’m in awe of their bravery and courage. pic.twitter.com/yC6hcBMwCP
Indeed, she claimed that they were "joyfully protesting for peace and an end to genocide," once again accusing the wrong people of genocide here. There is no "genocide" by Israel -- it's Hamas that's trying to commit genocide against Israel and the Jewish people.
Not only did she talk about what an "honor" it was to meet with these characters, but she also was seen greeting Khymani James, the protest leader who made inflammatory statements against Zionists and was finally suspended Friday. Her daughter also hugged him. After his sick comments went viral on social media, James issued a weak statement saying those words didn't really reflect him. Sure, Khymani.

Fox 5's Michelle Ross asked her about how she thinks her visit would be taken by the Jewish students who have been facing antisemitism there. And what Omar said was pretty vile, as our friends at Townhall pointed out.
I had to listen twice to make sure I heard this right because it’s utterly repulsive. @IlhanMN casually calls Jewish students “pro-genocide or anti-genocide.”

That’s another way of saying “the unacceptable Jews or the acceptable Jews”pic.twitter.com/4ZCtYAx3MJ
She claimed that she'd "actually met a lot of Jewish students in the encampment" (which I doubt, although there are some radical anti-Zionist Jews). She said that Jewish kids should not have "to tolerate antisemitism or bigotry." But then, just when you think that she might be saying something right, she talked about whether the Jewish students are "pro-genocide or anti-genocide."
Please tell us which Jewish students are "pro-genocide" here, Rep. Omar? Do you mean the leftists who want Israel not to exist? I don't think that's what she meant, but that's the reality she ignores. Instead, she's claiming being supportive of Israel is "pro-genocide." So there are "Jewish students who are "pro-genocide," yet she's "honored" to meet the students who have been behind such chaos. That's truly twisted.
This says so much about Omar, and even when she thinks she's smoothing things over, she's still stepping in it. Just like her fellow Squad member Jamaal Bowman, she's in a very tight race to keep her seat, so we'll have to see how all this might impact her prospects.
