Donors Worried Over Biden's Use of Cheat Sheets, Preselected Questioners at Private Fundraisers

We've seen Joe Biden struggle in event after event.

He's even been caught in public events with detailed notes, that even have instructions on where to sit and what he should do. The cheat sheets have even had the faces of reporters and the questions that they are going to ask.

“In June 2022, the president was caught holding a cheat sheet that gave him a series of extremely detailed instructions: ‘YOU enter the Roosevelt Room and say hello to participants. YOU take YOUR seat.’”

They had it down to "Reporter Q&A. QUESTION 1" and gave Biden the questions in advance. They agreed to do this.

But even with those notes which he often just reads from, where he has step-by-step instructions like an actor or a five-year-old, somehow he still gets into trouble.

Now there's a new report from Axios that says donors are worried because Biden even has cheat sheets for private donor events and vetted questions.

Biden has been using notecards in closed-door fundraisers, calling on prescreened donors and then consulting his notes to provide detailed answers, according to people familiar with the routine. [....]

The staged Q&A sessions have left some donors wondering whether Biden can withstand the rigors of a presidential campaign, let alone potential debates with former President Trump, 77.

Donors are paying money, hoping to see more of the real Joe Biden in such events. Instead, they're even seeing the scripted version there, and he's being manipulated by seeing pre-vetted questions. They're basically getting the same warmed-over rambling that he gives in public. He's even using the teleprompter in some of these events, which are supposed to be more impromptu things. On Wednesday in California, when he didn't have a teleprompter he went off script and called Vladimir Putin a "crazy SOB."

If you have to go that far to try to script events to convince the folks who are supposed to be on your side, even vetting the questioners, you know what bad shape Biden is in.

He can't even keep the names of the people he just met and spoke with at some length in his head, such as when he referred to Yulia Navalnya as "Yolanda" on Thursday.

Biden isn't even going to make it to debates with Donald Trump, assuming he's still in the race at that point. The Democrats will simply come up with a reason to duck the debates because there's no way he can answer competently, even with the most favorable media spin for whatever he might say.
