Ilhan Omar: If We Only Focus on 'Killing the Monsters of the World,' We Forget Those 'Caught in the Crossfire'

Many Democrats have come out against the airstrike upon IRGC terrorist leader Qasem Soleimani, terming it an “escalation” or even more ridiculously a “provocation”(House Speaker Nancy Pelosi).

They professed to be concerned about the results of the action.

But what about what the failure to take him out has meant?

How many were killed and how much did we lose because of the Obama administration’s failure to take him out earlier? It’s fair to say he’s been responsible for thousands of deaths since, since the pro-Iranian militia killed an American contractor and wounded other Americans and Iraqis in that rocket attack.

Robert Reich who served in the Clinton administration was impressed with something that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said on the subject. She was talking at an anti-war with Iran in Washington, D.C. despite the fact that no one is asking for war.

What she said and the fact that he thought it right and worth of note tells you all that’s wrong with Democrats now.

Here’s the full video of her remarks.

“If we are only focused on killing the monsters of the world, we forget the children, the elderly, the people with disabilities who are going to be caught in the crossfire… who, if they survive, become the walking dead like myself.”

There’s that “crossfire” talking point again.

But what the heck is she saying here? Does she not understand that when you kill the “monsters of the world,” that makes it infinitely safer for “the children, the elderly, the people with disabilities?”

People in Iraq and Iran and others across the region who the monster has tormented get this, that’s why they were celebrating in the streets that he was killed. When you take out terrorists, it immediately makes the fewer brighter for all who would have been his victims. This isn’t hard.

She’s the “walking dead?” I’m not going to put down what she went through in anyway as a refugee, that’s a significant trauma. But she’s also greatly benefitted by being in the U.S. even becoming a member of Congress. Maybe it’s a word thing, but that doesn’t sound like “walking dead.” The actual dead in Iraq were the 4400 Americans who Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) was talking about while Omar was giggling the other day. Hundreds of those are attributable to the IRGC and Soleimani.
