As the mayhem continues in the (People's Republic of) Portland, federal authorities and the Trump administration have turned up the pressure on the out-of-control city.
U.S. Attorney Scott Bradford bluntly demanded that “all federal officers must be able to come and go from the ICE office without harassment or hindrance,” while also ordering the city to “create a perimeter around the ICE office.”
President Donald Trump's message was clear: comply, or face the consequences. Yet, Portland Democrat Mayor Keith Wilson's unbelievable — yet not — response?
Not only did Wilson refuse to create a perimeter around the ICE facility, but he also ordered the removal of police tape near the facility.
Yeah, I'm gonna take that as a hard no to Scott Bradford.
Petty? Of course. But, to decent, moral people, Wilson's disgusting actions continue to be beyond shameless, particularly given the daily threat faced by people who are simply attempting to protect lives, and restore what passes for safety in Portland.
Wilson told Homeland Security counsel James Percival that, while federal officers might want open access, the city would not automatically hand it over on demand, as reported by Fox News on Saturday:
The Mayor and our local public safety professionals will continue to evaluate the situation on the ground, and they will continue to make public order decisions based on what they believe will be in the best interest of Portland and our community.
Uh-huh.
Translation: "We’ll continue to monitor the situation — not out of concern for ICE officers or anyone nearby, but through the lens of our radical belief that illegal aliens should be allowed to stroll across the Southern Border as they please, with the Republicans and their fascist government powerless to stop it. Oh, and as for Trump? The depth of our visceral loathing was already off the charts."
It should be noted that Trump, in September, called for deploying National Guard troops into Portland to work with ICE agents to collect illegals, and nip the violence in the far-left bud.

In reference to the above link to our report on Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's visit to the ICE facility on Tuesday, and conversation with Portland Police Bureau Chief Bob Day, the secretary noted that authorities had the vicinity cordoned off for the occasion.
The perimeter was ordered removed on Wednesday, according to Fox.

As our side often says, the left hates Donald Trump more than it loves America. While correct, the reality is becoming even darker.
What began as political hostility toward all things Trump has devolved into something far more vicious.
