Many might remember the popular Fox show starring Neve Campbell, Matthew Fox and the Queen of the Hallmark Channel Lacey Chabert. The series followed the lives of five siblings who must pull together after losing both their parents in a car accident.

Freeform’s “woke” reboot will feature a Mexican family of siblings dealing with the sudden deportation of both their parents.

The new series hails from original “Party of Five” creators Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman. Keyser and Lippman will serve as writers and executive producers. Michal Zebede will write and co-executive produce. Rodrigo Garcia is set to direct and also executive produce. Sony Pictures Television Studios will produce. Freeform had previously given the project a put pilot commitment back in January.

What do you think? Is the immigration twist likely to make the show as beloved as the original or is it dead on arrival?
