President Donald Trump cracked up a couple of college baseball teams at the White House on Monday when he said he’d pay to see the 2025 NCAA Champion LSU Tigers and NAIA champion LSU-Shreveport (LSUS) Pilots face off against each other.

Trump hosted the two teams, congratulating them both on their incredible journeys, noting that the (LSUS) Pilots baseball team had gone undefeated, winning all 59 of their games and the national championship.

"This year, the Pilots became the first and only college baseball team in history to go a full season totally undefeated. I want these two teams to play,” Trump said, prompting those in the room to laugh.

“Let’s…You wanna do it? We'll get the stadium, I'll pay for it, what the hell!" he added. “But you had an astounding record of 59 wins and no losses. What the hell is with that? That’s pretty good.”

Trump also took time out to recognize the incredible work of LSU Tigers pitcher Kade Anderson, with 180 strikeouts.

“I would like to represent him. I’m leaving the White House immediately,” Trump said, joking and cracking people up. “Oh, the money. Somebody’s going to make some. Where’s Kade?”

Trump then went over and shook the young man’s hand.

"It's great to have you at the White House,” the president said. “We like winners at the White House, Kade.”

At one point, LSU baseball coach Jay Johnson heaped praise on President Trump.

"Mr. President, thank you for having us in your home. The main thing I take away from you is work ethic, something we preach,” the coach said. “Nobody works harder for America than you, so thank you for setting a good example."

The comment drew applause from those in the room.

As we reported, it truly was a banner day at the White House. Earlier in the day, President Trump welcomed Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to sign an agreement on rare earth minerals.

During their time together, Trump took questions from reporters on topics ranging from the recent peace deal in the Middle East to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

It was during that presser that one reporter ended up committing a major faux pas when the person bumped into a 400-year-old mirror that Trump had just had taken out of storage. His reaction when he hears clank is priceless.

Watch:

“And ohhh you got to watch that, “Trump said. “You’re not allowed to break that. That mirror is 400 years old…"

“A camera just hit the mirror,” he added. “Aye aye aye. I just moved it up here, special from the vaults, and the first thing that happens is a camera hits it. Hard to believe, isn’t it?… But these are the problems in life.”

Just another day at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with Trump trying to right this ship that got veered off course so badly under former President Joe Biden’s time in office.
