‘Act of Terrorism’: Law Enforcement Says ICE Facility Shooter's Own Words Destroy Dem Narrative

Acting U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Nancy Larson destroyed another Democratic narrative when she revealed that the people on the left who have painted ICE agents as "fascists" and "Gestapo" used their own bodies to shield detainees as the bullets came flying.

On Thursday, law enforcement authorities provided an update on the suspected killer in the deadly shooting at the ICE facility on Wednesday, from a shooter who had engraved "anti-ICE" messaging on bullet casings, calling the agents heroes.

"Among his papers, though, was a handwritten note in which, in crude words, he expressed his hatred for the federal government," Larson said. "Finally, I want to address the heroism of our federal agents yesterday. While under fire, ICE agents and ATF agents who were also present….worked together to remove detainees from the vans and get them to safety while the bullets were flying."

"These agents were heroic, clearly willing to lay down their lives to save the lives of the detainees in their custody," she added. Larson rightly stressed that this is an "extremely important point to make."

She continued: "It's clear from these notes that [Joshua Jahn] was targeting ICE agents...The tragic irony for his evil plot here is that it was a detainee who was killed and two other detainees that [sic] were injured when he fired into the sally port."

"He also hoped his actions would give ICE agents real terror of being gunned down, and he did this to induce constant stress in their lives," Larson continued. "He hoped his actions would terrorize ICE employees and interfere with their work, which he called human trafficking. And this, what he did, is the very definition of terrorism."

FBI Special Agent in Charge of the Dallas Field Office, Joseph Rothrock then continued speaking to the press about the shooter's "targeted, ambush-style attack on law enforcement" and his anti-ICE messages.

Rothrock said this was definitely an "act of terrorism," and the proof is written in the shooter's own words.

The Department of Homeland Security has said attacks on ICE agents have gone through the roof as Democrats and those on the left have demonized agents for simply doing their jobs and getting suspected illegal criminals out of our country.

The day before the Texas shooting, the Democrat Governor of California, Gavin Newsom went on a bizarre anti-ICE rant, attacking agents, as my RedState colleague Nick Arama reported.

Just last night, California Gov. Gavin Newsom was doing exactly that on Stephen Colbert's late-night "comedy" show. Here's Newsom talking about his bill to try to unmask ICE. He claims they are disappearing people and acting without due process. This is just a lie.
"Masked men, jumping out of unmarked cars, people disappearing, no due process, no oversight, zero accountability," he ranted.
"If you're a black or brown community in this country, it's here," he disgracefully claimed. People clapped, believing the lie.
"These are authoritarian actions by an authoritarian government."
He's literally attacking the U.S. government and ICE for carrying out the law.

The violent rhetoric coming from the left against ICE agents, law enforcement, and those on the right must stop.
