Watch: Gavin Newsom Went on Wild Anti-ICE, Anti-Trump Rant on Colbert on Tuesday

We're seeing a horrible situation unfold this morning with the reports about a shooting at an ICE processing facility in Dallas.

It's still unfolding, so we don't know all the facts yet in this case, but at this point, reports are that at least two detainees were shot, no agents were injured, and the shooter is dead. During a brief press conference on the matter, one of the officials and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said the rhetoric has to stop. The FBI said there were "anti-ICE" messages on the rounds.

But according to Fox, this facility faced a bomb threat last month. As we reported, there was also an attack on the Border Patrol detention center in Alvarado, Texas, earlier this summer.

There have been many attacks and harassment of ICE now for months, whipped up by the dangerous rhetoric of the left and the demonizing of the Trump administration and ICE.

Just last night, California Gov. Gavin Newsom was doing exactly that on Stephen Colbert's late-night "comedy" show. Here's Newsom talking about his bill to try to unmask ICE. He claims they are disappearing people and acting without due process. This is just a lie.

"Masked men, jumping out of unmarked cars, people disappearing, no due process, no oversight, zero accountability," he ranted.

"If you're a black or brown community in this country, it's here," he disgracefully claimed. People clapped, believing the lie.

"These are authoritarian actions by an authoritarian government."

He's literally attacking the U.S. government and ICE for carrying out the law.

He also falsely characterized the tweet from President Donald Trump, because he said justice must be served [under the law], not "I want these three people taken out," as Newsom claimed.

What's most despicable about this is that he's doing this to show his "bona fides" in fighting President Donald Trump to run for president in 2028. He doesn't care about what might result from his demonizing.

Here, he continues to attack Trump, calling him a "son of b***h," saying he thinks people on the left want them to fight. He's doing this to perform for the left - note he posted it on his Instagram. He thinks this makes him look good to them. It's sick and concerning that people cheer this.

He also spread nonsense that Trump was somehow not going to have any elections in 2028. This again is to feed the anti-Trump hate based on his ridiculous conspiracy theory.

Well, if we're not having an election, you're spending a lot of time running for it. You're not making a lot of sense there, Gavin. This is fearmongering at its worst, the very thing that Democrats should not be doing at this time.

But this just shows what a soulless character Newsom is.
