FBI Makes Major Decision About Those Funding Anti-ICE Riots

Fox News' Matt Finn wrote on X about the arrest:

Breaking:  VIRAL ROCK THROWER from LA riots SURRENDERS AT BORDER . Elpidio Reyna, 40, a US citizen, has been wanted since violent rock throwing (L.). Federal investigators say he has been in  Mexico and surrendered at the San Ysidro port of entry this morning.  Charged with assault for throwing rocks at federal agents, violently smashing windshield and windows.

His post included two videos, with one showing a person wearing a helmet and hurling numerous rocks at law enforcement vehicles as they drove by to deal with the anti-ICE riots that rocked the city last month.

In the second video, Reyna stands with his hands behind his back as a border patrol agent cuffs him.

In another post on X, United States Attorney Bill Essayli wrote that Reyna "surrendered today at the U.S.-Mexico border to face a felony charge of assault on a federal officer for throwing rocks at passing law enforcement vehicles in Paramount on June 7."

He was taken into custody by a US Border Patrol officer who was inside one of the vehicles damaged in the attack — a brave law enforcement officer who could have been killed in last month's dangerous and reckless attack. I thank @FBILosAngeles , @CBP, and @USBPChiefELC for their efforts to track down this dangerous felon.

To anyone who thinks they can attack federal officers and hide behind a mask or helmet, Reyna's arrest today proves we can find and charge anyone who violates federal law. Don't touch our officers. Reyna will make his initial appearance in federal court this afternoon. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

DHS sent out a bulletin in June that read: "WANTED: FBI Reward for Information Leading to Arrest of Elpidio Reyna for Allegedly Throwing Rocks and Explosives at Federal Law Enforcement."

Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement on the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Elpidio Reyna. He is wanted for allegedly throwing rocks and explosives at federal officers in their vehicles during the riots in Los Angeles (LA), California (CA).

The bulletin included a list of Reyna's record that read:

Reyna's criminal history includes arrests for felony burglary, felony possession of a controlled substance for sale, felony using or selling marijuana to a minor, DUI, and multiple counts of driving with a suspended license.

In the June bulletin, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said that "Elpidio Reyna threatened the lives of federal law enforcement by throwing rocks and explosives at their vehicles."

"Our message to the LA rioters: you will not stop us or slow us down," she added." ICE and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law. And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

As RedState previously reported, the DHS and the FBI made it clear they were also cracking down on those funding anti-ICE riots and said there would be "consequences" for "aiding and abetting acts of violence during civil unrest."

Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
