A resurfaced 2006 clip of “The Apprentice” has gone viral in which Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) praises then-business mogul Donald Trump as someone he always knew was “going to go places.”
In the video from Amazon Prime’s “Apprentice” Season 5, Episode 8, the contestants must first win the challenge of selling the most 7-11 P’EatZZa sandwiches. The winning team then won a trip to Washington, D.C., to have breakfast with Schumer.
The contestants visited with Schumer, who poured praise on Trump and the business mogul’s family.
"I was born in Brooklyn, the same place where Donald Trump's family comes from," Schumer explained. "His father, and my grandfather, were builders together in Brooklyn."
"Yeah!" Schumer added to the contestants who sounded surprised. "Even when [Trump] was much younger, you knew that he was going to go places.”
Chuck Schumer definitely wants this video deleted.

One of the winners in the room said, "Sen. Schumer and Mr. Trump are good friends. They both have a passion for life and you get that immediately talking to him.”
Compare that to what Schumer said just last month about President Donald Trump, labeling him “a lawless, angry man.”
“Look, Donald Trump is a lawless, angry man,” Schumer told MSNBC. “He thinks he should be king. He thinks he should do whatever he wants, regardless of the law, and he thinks judges should just listen to him."
“Now we have to fight that back in every single way,” he added. “And we actually have had over 100 cases in the courts where we’ve had a very good record of success. So Donald Trump, infuriated by that success, said judges should be impeached,” Schumer added. “Democrats in the Senate will not impeach judges. Full stop.”
Or to what the Senate Minority Leader said about Trump in a recent social media post, harkening back to Trump's hit reality TV show.
“The fact that ‘The Apprentice’ President Donald ‘You’re Fired’ Trump is refusing to hold people accountable just shows how weak he is now,” Schumer wrote on X.
“The Senate has a chance to act on these egregious breaches of American security with my bill today with @SenatorAndyKim and @SenAdamSchiff,” he added.

Schumer's change in attitude about the young man from Brooklyn did not escape those on social media.
Michigan GOP Sen. Aric Nesbitt, the state senate's minority leader, wrote on X, "How things change…" in response to the "Apprentice" clip.
Former Democratic Rhode Island legislator Aaron Regunberg added, "As Schumer sells out our Constitution and democracy, you just gotta watch this clip of him sucking up to Trump on an episode of 'The Apprentice.' What a world-class slug of a man."
I think it's fair to say that Schumer probably wishes this clip of him gushing about Trump didn’t exist. But you know what they say, the internet is forever.
