As pointed out by RedState’s Bob Hoge on April 27, 2026, First Lady Melania Trump put ABC late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel on full blast regarding his “joke” on April 23, 2026, prior to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner (WHCD) about Mrs. Trump having a “glow like an expectant widow.” Melania responded with a call for ABC to fire Kimmel, long known for his hatred of all people conservative in general and President Trump in particular, for his hate-filled attempt at humor.

During Kimmel’s opening monologue on his April 27, 2026 show, an unapologetic Kimmel doubled down on his comments from the previous week, lambasting Mrs. Trump and insisting his joke from the previous week was in no fashion an incitement to the events of the WHCD.
On Monday night's show, he joked about the First Lady calling him a 'coward' whom ABC should fire, in what Kimmel called a 'Twitter vomit storm.'
'You know how sometimes you wake up in the morning and the first lady puts out a statement demanding you be fired from your job? We've all been there. Right?'
He then described what happened at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where 31-year-old shooter Cole Thomas Allen attempted to attack the event.
Kimmel then repeated his joke, claiming it was about Donald and Melania's 'age difference.'
Kimmel went on to insult other Trump administration personnel, including FBI Director Kash Patel and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, for their words before or actions during the WHCD. I’ll not give them more oxygen by repeating them here.
Kimmel’s loathsome disdain for conservatives and lack of genuine courage on conviction when pressed is well-known. In September 2025, he was temporarily suspended by ABC over his insistence that Charlie Kirk’s assassin, Tyler Robinson, was MAGA.

Rather than dwell specifically on Kimmel and his inability to perceive truth due to acute Trump Derangement Syndrome, it warrants mention that he is but one facet of the hideous false diamond that is today’s liberal mindset. Even as Allen’s manifesto rehashed Democratic spew, taking the “Trump is Hitler” mindset to an alarmingly logical conclusion that assassinating the President would be doing the world a favor by ridding it of evil, Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) was continuing with violent rhetoric by calling for “maximum warfare” against Republicans.
These are the same people who lie to our faces about never dealing in incendiary talk that encourages the lunatic fringe to take action on their heinous dark thoughts, firmly believing they are doing sacred work.
Kimmel, Jeffries, and their ilk remind me of some members of a collective I often interact with at my day job, namely, trading card collectors. At my store, we have a display case holding one example each of whatever we happen to have in stock at the time, with the inventory for same tucked away from those wishing to attempt the five-finger discount. The customer tells us what they want, we pull it out of backstock and bring it to the cash register, and everyone is happy. Well, almost everyone is happy. There is a percentage of customers who demand full access to the inventory so they can pick out a particular box or pack of cards, unshakable in the belief that this will somehow ensure they get a “good” one. No amount of gentle or brusque commentary that says, "No, you do not have X-ray vision or special psychic powers that give you the ability to pick the right one," can dissuade them from their belief. It is in line with the great man Ronald Reagan said: “Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn’t so.”
The difference between Reagan’s quote, overzealous trading card collectors, and modern liberals is that the first two are amusing. The latter, not so much. Liberals no longer hear themselves. They are so utterly consumed with self-righteousness and contempt for anyone who dares to think differently that they have completely abandoned the notion of shared humanity. Jimmy Kimmel and Hakeen Jeffries are the result of a mindset that neither fears God nor respects man. When directly confronted, they will lie and deny their own words. They are cowards and deserve to be treated as such, hopefully before the next lunatic fueled by their satanic words decides to take action with a gun or worse.
