Following the latest act of political violence — the Saturday night assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner — Democrats and the media, led by the likes of the odious Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD-08), are playing the innocents and acting like this isn’t exactly what they’ve been calling for.
Of course, we all know that they’ve been feverishly fanning the flames of extremism for years now, and the results have been clear: three assassination attempts against Donald Trump, the successful murder of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, and the cold-blooded killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson by leftist hero Luigi Mangione.
Among the worst of the worst are the major networks’ late-night “comedians,” folks like CBS’ Stephen Colbert and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel, who spout nightly hate from their platforms and have not told a funny joke in years. Colbert’s reign is slated to end in May because he was losing the outlet a reported $40 million a year, but ABC keeps propping up Kimmel despite his tendency to outright lie.
The political activist and non-comedian staged his own alternative to the Correspondents’ Dinner on Thursday, where he said about the First Lady of the United States, “Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.”
This is sick stuff, folks, truly deranged. It's the kind of rhetoric you'd expect from an Iranian mullah, not a commentator inexplicably given a platform by one of our nation's most renowned corporations, the Walt Disney Co.
Melania is, rightfully, deeply disgusted. She posted to social media Monday:

A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him.
Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

This is a powerful message from the First Lady. Kimmel is indeed “corrosive,” and he is a coward, as she says. The network suspended him in September 2025 for his despicable take and outright falsehoods regarding the brutal assassination of Charlie Kirk, but they quickly caved to the Left and put him right back on the telly.
They and their corporate overlords — Disney — are cowards too, and have allowed the name of the once-revered, family-friendly company to become lower than mud in the eyes of many, all so they can suck up to extremists and get some liberal cred from the Hollywood crowd.

It would be nice if Disney/ABC would show some class here and throw folks like Kimmel, who are inciting violence and not even pretending anymore that they’re not, off the air. They’re not making jokes, they’re inciting bloodshed, and they’re getting it.
No one can speak for Walt since he’s no longer with us, but I’d imagine he’d be spinning in his grave. Melania is spot-on here, and it’s far past time that hate-mongers were called to account.
