A new report by NBC News, based on anonymous sources, claims that Hunter Biden has been much more involved with Joe Biden's day-to-day appointments and White House meetings since last week's disastrous debate - and that one White House staffer has asked, "What the hell is happening?"

Hunter Biden has joined meetings with President Joe Biden and his top aides since his father returned to the White House from Camp David on Monday evening, according to four people familiar with the matter.

The president’s son has also been talking to senior White House staff, these people said.

While he is regularly at the White House residence and events, it is unusual for Hunter Biden to be in and around meetings that his father is having with his team, these people said. They said the president’s aides were struck by his presence during their discussions. 

One of the people familiar with the matter said Hunter Biden has been closely advising his father since the family gathered this past weekend at Camp David after Thursday’s debate. This person said Hunter Biden has "popped into" a couple of meetings and phone calls the president has had with some of his advisers.

NBC also states that Hunter Biden is expected to be at his father's side through the 4th of July weekend, participating in White House festivities over the holiday. Of course, nobody in the Biden family sees any irony in the situation, with a convicted felon who's goes to trial on additional federal charges in September advising the president, right after the president made a big deal about Donald Trump's conviction on state criminal charges.

Then again, he's the smartest guy Joe Biden knows, so why wouldn't he be a trusted adviser?

And there are other negative stories out there too; essentially, too many to list.

It looks like the semi-solidarity of Monday is gone. This situation would be hilarious if it wasn't so damaging to the country, but it's critical to remember that the Democrats' failure to accept the results of the 2016 election is what led to all of this.
