On Tuesday night, someone decided it was a good idea to ram their car into a barricade near one of the vehicle entrances to the White House. The Secret Service acted quickly to contain the threat

A suspect was arrested on Tuesday night after ramming a car into the barricade of the White House, according to the Secret Service.

"On Tuesday, October 21 at approximately 10:37 p.m., an individual drove his vehicle into the Secret Service vehicle gate located at 17th and E St, NW, DC," a Secret Service spokesperson said in a statement.

"The individual was immediately arrested by U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers, and the vehicle was assessed by Secret Service and the Metropolitan Police Department and deemed safe," the statement added.

Perhaps this person is among that highly exercised bunch who are upset that President Donald Trump is renovating the East Wing in order to build the donor-funded White House ballroom. Perhaps this is a straggler from the "No Kings" protests who decided to up the ante. While we do not yet know the reasons behind this attack, what is clear is that a weekend of protests against the Trump administration did not yield the results Democrats and the left wanted.

Regarding the government shutdown, Trump and Republicans continue to tell the Democrats to put up or shut up. There will be no negotiation on Obamacare subsidies until Senate Democrats join Republicans to vote in the clean continuing resolution. Regarding the "No Kings" weekend, leftists and the legacy media have changed narratives faster than a Fidget spinner, and at every turn wound up being mocked and demoralized. When you're crying over an AI meme video created by the president, it is apparent who is winning the argument. It's not them.

According to a recent poll, Trump's approval rating is actually ticking up, not dropping. His administration won a major judicial victory with the ruling that he can indeed send National Guard troops into Oregon. And Trump continues to dominate the world stage with a meeting planned with China's General Secretary Xi Jinping and Vice President JD Vance's visit to Israel.

It's looking like that scene from the film "Fatal Attraction."

But seriously, this could well be a test of the perimeter or a warning shot across the bow. Ezra Levin, the co-founder and co-executive director of the leftist activist group Indivisible, went on MSNBC recently to basically say they he will be going nuclear and coalescing his networks into the "No Kings Alliance," in order to let America know that the "Trump era is over. This is the No Kings era."

No doubt the Department of Justice is paying close attention to Indivisible and its offshoots to see if more things pop off. Let us hope more information drops on this vehicular attacker and that the Secret Service beefs up its surveillance and makes revisions to its protocols.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
