Sunday's National Ice Cream Day 2024 will go down in history as the day President Joe Biden announced he would be suspending his reelection campaign. It is very apropos: a man who LOVES ice cream is afflicted with a cognitive disease that is turning his brain into melted goo. It is also apropos because of the hot mess that is his presidency, coupled with the sticky meltdown in the Democrat Party from his not only stepping aside for 2024 but quickly anointing his Vice President Kamala Harris as the one to take his place at the top of the ticket. Things are disintegrating faster than Rocky Road on hot pavement.

But Republicans still need to be extra cautious, as well as work even harder to win this election. The 2020 contest still hovers like a shadow, and many of its issues were never addressed by either party. Melted ice cream is sticky, slippery, and when dried, getting the caked mess out of fabric is extremely difficult. One thinks that ice cream is just melted liquid, but in reality it's a protein stain that once bound to the fabric doesn't wish to be removed. Kind of like the Democrat Party. So, it is going to take some serious scrubbing and stain remover to cleanse the legacy of Biden and the Democrat Party from the fabric of our nation. The first step is to not let them win. The same Democrat get-out-the-vote apparatus from 2020 and 2022 is still in place, coupled with the cooperation of entertainment and legacy media. Note how quickly California Rep. Nancy Pelosi stepped in and played Don Corleone. Apparently, she made Biden an offer that he couldn't refuse. Pelosi did her job to protect the power brokers, along with the power process. It is even more apparent that it doesn't matter who the actual nominee will be, the end goal of the party is to stay in power. The nominee is merely one vehicle to do that. So, don't mistake disarray and scrambling for total confusion and lack of an end goal. As the saying goes, a dog is most dangerous when cornered and wounded.

Which brings us to presumed, but not confirmed nominee Kamala Harris. At this point, despite the aspirational fluffing and language that is being used to prop her up, she has as much, if not more, of a dismal record as Joe Biden. The anointed "Border Czar" did nothing for the Southern border. In 2020, then-Senator and VP candidate Harris was the biggest champion of the violence and mayhem that summer. When BLM activists and rioters torched Minneapolis/St. Paul, Harris tweeted out this gem. It is amazing she has not deleted it, because it is damning.

Comms Director Greg Price has outlined exactly who was supported through this bail fund. A fund that used the Democrat's ActBlue campaign apparatus to funnel the money.

After BLM rioters burned Minneapolis to the ground in 2020, Kamala Harris tweeted this fundraiser to help bail them out of jail.

But not only did it bail out rioters, the money she helped raise also bailed out alleged pedophiles and domestic abusers from jail.

 It included:  

- A man accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl 

- A father accused of molesting his 15-year-old daughter 

- A man accused of sexually assaulting his 16-year-old niece 

- Two men accused of strangling their wives in their homes 

- A man who punched his girlfriend six times. 

- A man accused of assaulting an elderly woman as he burglarized her home. 

- A man accused of robbing and stomping on his victim’s head

Lest we forget, Harris blasted the Kenosha, WI police who shot knife-wielding rapist, child kidnapper and repeat offender Jacob Blake. Harris even visited him in the hospital and declared that she was "proud" of him. 

Are you sensing a pattern here?  

But among the most egregious acts of Vice President Kamala Harris that should disqualify her from ever again being an elected government official, let alone the president of the United States, is that Harris has been fully complicit in the White House and media cover-up of Biden's cognitive decline. Since Biden's disastrous June debate performance, Harris has continued to be a team player, claiming that Joe is at the top of his game and gaslighting the American people that he is fit to lead and everything is honky dory with their campaign.

Lies. All lies.

Now that Biden will be a one-term president, we are already seeing the burnishing of his "legacy." We are also seeing the promotion of Kamala Harris, who is reassuring Democrat donors and, as my colleague Margaret Clark reported, has filed with the FEC to replace Biden at the top of the ticket. And those who know the destruction she has wrought in California are also speaking out. So, while Harris is working to pad her throne, those opposed to her failing up to the highest office will continue to bring the fire. However, if Harris does not end up being the nominee—and there's still a strong possibility that this could happen—much ammunition and fire will have been wasted. The meltdown in the Dem party is pivotal and needs to be given equal focus. So, Republicans need to find a way to encourage this destabilization while shoring against and combatting their voting apparatus in order to win the presidency. It's the only way to scrub out that big stain of dried ice cream.
