The U.K. is in a horrifying place. They are something of a test case, a major Western power hooked on too much globalism, and as you can see from consistent reports emerging from the country, the Brits are being crushed by an authoritarianism that hides its dictatorial behavior behind a mask of social justice. It's the same story from the radical left in the U.K. as it is everywhere else.
The UK has benefited from "privilege" it got through conquest and colonization, and therefore it must bring in the third world to make up for it, no matter how much people suffer and die. Sadly, there is no line where the English people have suffered and shared enough, and I think many Brits are catching on that enough will be enough when they're all dead, their country is a third-world hellhole, and any trace of their culture has been eradicated.
As you've likely seen, the English people gathered together for what was estimated to be a 60,000-person march for a "Unite the Kingdom" rally. As my colleague Nick Arama highlighted, it featured many moments where Prime Minister Kier Starmer was actively made fun of and encouraged to leave office, something that apparently parts of his own party would like him to do.

Watching some of the videos from the rally, it becomes really clear what these people are pushing against, in particular. It's the Islamic takeover of their country. Many of the displays you saw were geared toward openly rejecting it.

While it's a fantastic display, and one they're right to make, Islam is not the main problem. It's the tool their main problem uses.
Their issue is that their government is so unapologetically authoritarian about globalization that it's willing to go to insane lengths to make sure it happens. If tomorrow, Islam were suddenly unavailable to force that level of globalization, the U.K. government would just find something else. Making sacred cows isn't exactly hard to do, and no one makes sacred cows quite like authoritarians.
Kicking Kier Starmer out is a good start, but this doesn't stop once he's done. It doesn't even stop once the Labour Party is kicked out of office. Many of the laws that would make Americans' jaws drop were passed under governments that weren't just leftist.
The UK's Online Safety Act 2023 was enacted under the Conservative Party government — the British equivalent of a center-right party. Critics argue the law, combined with existing UK speech laws, has contributed to police scrutiny of allegedly “offensive” online speech, including cases where officers have visited people over social media posts. The King himself has recently said the state was moving forward with Digital ID.

There is hope on the horizon in the form of the Reform UK party, but the hurdles they must overcome to restore the country to something that looks much less like a George Orwell novel are high. The fact is, every institution would be against that government, including the BBC and more than a few civil servants. The demographic changes in major cities aren't going to help either.
I'm not sure how the British people get out of this without violence being a key feature, and I don't necessarily mean from the British people, although I do see that happening to some degree. If America is any indication, once things start to shift rightward, the left will be ramping up the violence and hate, and the media will do its level best to reframe it.
People have short memories and may forget in four years what it took them half a lifetime to learn due to ancillary frustrations only exacerbated by a hostile media.
I think there will be a point of no return coming soon, though, and I hope they do retake their country. They face nothing short of erasure at the hands of their own elitist government, and nothing short of drastic action will stop this slide into the dark.
