What is going on in Fairfax County, Virginia? This is the third murder allegedly committed by an illegal alien in recent weeks.
In early March, 41-year-old Stephanie Minter was knifed to death at a bus stop by an illegal from Sierra Leone, and earlier Wednesday, I reported on the Guatemalan “undocumented person” who stabbed a man to death on Sunday.
Now, a man described as a “Virginia Father” who allegedly caused the blunt-force trauma death of his three-month-old baby is also revealed to be an illegal alien from Guatemala. All this is happening as VA Gov. Abigail Spanberger has rescinded deals to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, and the Democrats in Congress are holding the Department of Homeland Security hostage with their insane demands for ICE reform.
Disgusting.

What kind of a man kills his own baby daughter? One who either needs to be unalived or stuck in a dark room somewhere until the end of his days:
A Virginia father is facing charges after a medical examiner determined that his 3-month-old daughter’s death was a result of blunt-force trauma.
Fairfax County police responded to reports of an unresponsive infant at a home in the 3400 block of Lake Street in Bailey’s Crossroads around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Warning: the details are disturbing, and the fact that the baby showed prior signs of abuse reiterates that this illegal alien deserves no mercy if he is found guilty:
When they arrived, the infant wasn’t breathing, and police began administering CPR.
After fire and rescue crews arrived, they continued with additional medical efforts before transporting her to a local hospital.
The baby was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police and hospital staff said that they saw signs of abuse during the course of the investigation, and police took the baby’s father, 28-year-old Misael Lopez Gomez, into custody.
Lopez Gomez was charged with second-degree murder and felony child abuse.
He is currently jailed without bond.

The lengths that @wusa9 and the mainstream media will go to run cover for criminal illegal aliens is astonishing.
Sometimes it’s hard to put into words the heartache one can feel while reading about stories like this one — and the anger toward those who downplay it and continue to let it happen. As I wrote earlier about Spanberger and Democrats in general:
Although Virginia is not officially a sanctuary state, it might as well be after Gov. Abigail Spanberger terminated agreements to cooperate with ICE. Sanctuary policies are literally killing people, and Democrats simply don’t care. Meanwhile, Spanberger, who campaigned as “reasonable,” has proven to be anything but and has lurched so hard to the Left since her November '25 election victory that she almost fell over.
I’d call on Abigail to change the state’s stance on illegal immigration, but that would be about as effective as howling into the wind. Democrats care more about illegal aliens than they do about American citizens.
There’s something rotten in Fairfax County, and now a baby is the latest victim. Tragic — and preventable.
