If you listen to the Democrats, they’ll tell you that crime by illegal immigrants is rare and that “justice reform” is working. Tell that to the families of Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, Rachel Morin, and, more recently, Chicago college student Sheridan Gorman.
Now, sadly, we can add another name to the list of innocent victims: 83-year-old U.S. Air Force veteran and grandfather Richard Williams, who was randomly shoved onto the subway tracks at Manhattan’s Lexington Avenue-63rd Station on March 8.
Williams has now succumbed to his injuries (the exact date has not been reported), and his alleged assailant will now see his charges upgraded to murder.
The suspect’s history sounds remarkably familiar:
His alleged attacker, Honduran national Bairon Hernandez, 34, was arrested March 10 — and his charges have been upgraded to murder following Williams’ death, court records show…
Hernandez, who was picked up by police on March 10, is a “serial criminal” with a lengthy rap sheet of at least 15 charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and domestic violence, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
He had been deported from the US four times, but kept returning to the country illegally, according to the DHS.
Hernandez is in court next on March 30.

Here’s what happened:
According to investigators, a man pushed two people onto the tracks — an 83-year-old man and a 31-year-old man. No train was entering the station at the time.
Both victims were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. The younger man suffered pain to his back, legs and left arm.
The older man, later identified as Richard Williams, suffered a brain bleed and underwent surgery. Doctors determined he had no brain activity following the procedure.
On March 25, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Williams’ death a homicide.

Democrat policies protect criminal aliens like him
We’ve reported on similar stories many times, and one can’t help but wonder, when will leftists realize that their soft-on-criminals views, their sanctuary city policies, and their love of open borders aren’t just failures, they’re downright cruel? The answer would appear to be never, as people like Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker prove daily.
With the midterms coming up, I hope voters are paying attention. The more power Democrats acquire, the more scenes like this one we’ll continue to see.
