When President Donald Trump started naming his Cabinet members, there were some cheers, some surprises and some “huh, I don’t knows.” Former Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Trump got in some personal battles during the 2016 presidential campaign—could they bury the hatchet? Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard—she was just a Democrat until recently—does she have the qualifications to be the Director of National Intelligence? Pete Hegseth: Sure, he’s a veteran and a patriot and a Fox News pundit, but does he have the gravitas to run the Pentagon?
The president's term is now roughly four months old, so it's appropriate to ask: How are his Cabinet members performing?
If you’re a fan of the job the president is doing and the direction this country is going in, your answer would almost certainly be, “spectacularly.” They have taken on their mission of removing woke from the federal government, eliminating waste and fraud in their various departments, and nuking the poisonous leftist politics of the Biden Machine.
They’ve also been absolutely destroying looney-tune Democrat congresscritters who try to trip them up in committee hearings. It’s been Grade-A entertainment theater to watch. Let’s run through a few of the highlights from just the past few days alone.
We’ll start with Adam Schiff, because if there’s anything I enjoy, it’s watching the preening California senator eat crow, and it was joyous to witness the head of the Environmental Protection Agency handing him his lunch.
Lee Zeldin
Watch: Schiff Loses His Mind After Lee Zeldin Delivers the Perfect Line to Describe Him – by Nick Arama
On Wednesday, it was EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin's turn to be grilled. He nuked the execrable Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA). It caused Schiff to have a major meltdown. Schiff asked about the freezing of a grant.

Schiff’s meltdown immediately afterwards is REMARKABLE. pic.twitter.com/Dmanpl66sbZeldin called him an "aspiring fiction writer." Now that's a clever way to politely call Schiff a liar. That's so on target, given all the b.s. that Schiff has slung over the years including Russia collusion. Good for Zeldin, more people need to call Schiff what he is.
Glorious. For more Zeldin carnage, read Zeldin Lights Up Sheldon Whitehouse With Brutal Truth About What the American People Want – by Nick Arama.
Marco Rubio
Lee Zeldin wasn’t the only one making hay on the Hill at the expense of our favorite extremist Democrats. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was busy as well:
Rubio 2.0 Just Doesn't Care Anymore, Goes Right at Pramila Jayapal During Hearing – by Bonchie
Secretary of State Marco Rubio just doesn't care anymore, and it's leading to some very satisfying exchanges with Democrats. Gone are the days of his moderated statements and a care for one-sided decorum. Rubio 2.0 leans forward during congressional hearings and lets it fly.
Enter Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), who decided to poke the bear on Wednesday. The congresswoman attempted to pepper Rubio with questions about the recent revocation of student visas for those supporting terrorism, and he went right back at her.
Rubio 2.0 is truly him just not giving a crap anymore.

Rubio was on a tear, and Jayapal wasn’t the only roadkill he left behind. See: Rubio Decimates Chris Van Hollen in Glorious Exchange About USAID and Deportation – by Nick Arama.
Linda McMahon
Meanwhile, Secretary of Education Linda McMahon’s proud moment didn’t come from nuking Democrats questioning her; instead, she destroyed her predecessor, Miguel Cardona, who couldn’t answer one of the most basic questions in life: "What is a woman?"
Secretary of Education Praised After Being Able to Do the One Thing the Former Head 'Repeatedly Refused' – by Katie Jerkovich
The representative [Rep. Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA)… turned to McMahon and asked her if she could define what a woman is, after pointing to last year's budget hearing when the same question was asked of former Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, who he said "repeatedly refused to define what a woman was, dodging my question three separate times."
"Me," McMahon proudly replied. "I was born a girl and I grew to be an adult woman."

Bravo, Madame Secretary. It turned out not to be such a difficult question after all, didn’t it?
RFK Jr.
But wait, there’s more! You knew HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had to get in on the fun, didn’t you?
RFK Jr. Goes Nuclear on Democrat Patty Murray After She Attempts to Use Cancer Patient to Virtue Signal – by Brandon Morse
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. let Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) have it during a recent Senate hearing after Murray attempted to use a woman who has cancer as a way to virtue signal over Kennedy.
It did not go well for Murray.
HHS Secretary Kennedy (@SecKennedy): "You presided over the destruction of the health of the American people. Our people are now the sickest people in the world because you have not done your job.
— CSPAN (@cspan) May 20, 2025
Sen. @PattyMurray: "Mr. Secretary, seriously?!? Mr. Secretary, seriously?!?" pic.twitter.com/IDJWLCwQdpIt's a moment that proves that Kennedy is there to do the best job he can for the American people while Murray is just there to play politics.
Democrats might want to rethink their approach to congressional hearings, because Trump’s team continues to show that they’re not here to play softball. Mess with them, and you’re likely to end up looking like a fool, as Schiff, Whitehouse, Murray, Jayapal, and so many others are learning the hard way.
You can bite the shark, but it just might bite you back.
Yup. This is what I voted for.
