American Injustice: Illegal Alien Teen Kills Young CO Woman in High-Speed Racing Crash, Serves No Time

If you’re like many of us, you read the headlines and are regularly wondering, wait, what?! This serial criminal or that illegal alien gangbanger or this savage attacker was roaming the streets despite numerous prior crimes and they just struck again?

There is a time for mercy and second chances, but the progressive left has made such a mockery of those notions that violent thugs are treated as victims rather than criminals—and the actual victims are often left in the dust by our system.

Unfortunately, we have another incident to add to that list: a teenage Colombian illegal immigrant was racing his compatriots at speeds of over 90 miles an hour in the Denver suburb of Aurora when he plowed into the car of 24-year-old Kaitlyn Weaver, instantly killing her. For this tragedy, the perp was sentenced to... probation and community service.

What has happened to justice in this country?

A teenage illegal immigrant who killed a 24-year-old Colorado woman during a high-speed crash was given a lenient plea deal by a progressive district attorney that allowed him to walk free without serving any jail time.
The 15-year-old Colombian teen, who has not been publicly named because of state laws that shield the identity of underage criminal suspects, was sentenced to two years probation and 100 hours of community service for the July 2024 death of Kaitlyn Weaver, her father, John Weaver, told Fox News Digital.

As we’ve seen all too often, the miscarriage of justice was courtesy of a woke prosecutor, the kind that has infected all too many jurisdictions in our country:

The office of Arapahoe County District Attorney Amy Padden offered the teen a plea deal if he admitted his guilt in the deadly crash.
The teen was racing his Jeep with other kids at speeds of 90 mph in a residential neighborhood in the Denver suburb of Aurora when he T-boned Weaver's vehicle at an intersection, her father said.
"It was an instantaneous death," John Weaver said.
Kaitlyn Weaver was waiting at a stop sign and speaking to her boyfriend on speakerphone at the time she was struck, he said. She was kept on life support for two days before she was taken off and her organs were donated.

We have reported on so many similar tragedies—Jocelyn Nungaray, Rachel Morin, Laken Riley and others—and frankly as a father it’s difficult to write about. But this is what Joe Biden’s “let them all in” border policy and the left’s war on justice has wrought. The human cost is unfathomable:

John Weaver noted that the teen who killed his daughter was in the United States illegally and unlicensed.
"We had a collision where the immigration system and the criminal justice system collided, and now my daughter's dead," he said.

Donald Trump is doing his best to bring back the rule of law in this country, but until voters realize that “do the crime, do the time” is a time-honored tradition for a reason—and endless “compassion” for serial violent offenders and gangbanging illegal aliens is not—we will continue to be plagued by these kinds of heartbreaking stories.

My soul hurts each and every time I have to write about these tragedies, but I’m going to keep doing it because the mainstream corrupt media won’t. Bless you, John Weaver, and I hope you are reunited with Kaitlyn in Heaven one day.
