The one good thing that may have come from a horrific crash on a Florida highway last August was the fact that it shed plenty of light on the fact that semi truck drivers who are in the country illegally and are not qualified to operate the multi-ton vehicles are a much bigger problem than one crash. Blue states like California are where most of these commercial driver's licenses (CDL) are being issued. But Democrats who are running for governor in the Golden State are promising to protect those truck drivers who should not be in the country in the first place.

The head-shaking response from Democrat gubernatorial candidates came in April during a debate. After seeing a video of an immigrant truck driver who could not understand road signs, Joe Biden's former Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), Xavier Becerra, stated, “I would definitely push back on the Trump administration on, again, a reckless policy." Becerra then appeared to imply that any wrongdoing would be at the hands of California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers who were administering such a test, and added this gem, referring to the video the candidates had seen.
“I would make sure that that officer understands that he cannot discriminate against any driver without having a basis to do so. I understood a little bit of what that individual was trying to say. I couldn’t see the sign, but it certainly sounded like he was trying to describe what that particular sign was trying to represent.”
Billionaire climate warrior Tom Steyer gave the standard leftist knee-jerk response to any question having anything remotely to do with race, saying,
“Racial profiling is illegal. And, in fact, picking on people based on the color of their skin in the state of California is illegal. I have a program for ICE that involves prosecuting them for racial profiling, prosecuting them for violence against Californians.”
Katie Porter also stated she “would absolutely fight the Trump administration," then launched into a Kamala Harris-worthy word salad about enforcing traffic laws and the need for oversight because rules regarding DUIs were not being enforced.

The priorities for California Democrats are very clear. Being against anything President Trump is for, even if it means protecting Americans, and defending those who have no business being in the country over American citizens at any cost. They have also made the reason very clear. They are banking on the fact that if illegal immigrants remain in the country, eventually they will vote Democrat. It's a twisted checklist of hanging on to perpetual one-party rule in California over the safety of not just Californians, but every American who drives on the nation's interstates.
Primary frontrunner Steve Hilton stated the obvious, “It is completely ridiculous that we have people driving on our roads who can’t understand road signs, and can’t speak English.” So, Californians, vote like your life depends on it, because it just might.
