How many of us back in 2022 would have thought that Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) would end up being the voice of reason in the Democratic Party? Probably not many. But almost every day, we hear him saying something that is just plain common sense, but that you would never hear anyone else in his party saying. He is also calling out his party for their ballooning antisemitism problem that has reached all the way to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Fetterman recently responded on X to the news that Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice David Wecht has announced he is leaving the Democrat Party because of increasing antisemitism. Wecht said that he is now an independent. Fetterman is acquainted with both Wecht and his father, Cyril, and on Monday, posted:

I know David and his legendary father, Cyril. As I’ve affirmed, I’m not changing my party—but I fully understand David’s personal choice. The Democratic Party must confront its own rising antisemitism problem.

Wecht made his announcement on Politico, saying that he is “no longer registered within any political party." He added that when he was elected in 2015, antisemitism was an "issue" even back then. His statement went on to say:

From 1998 to 2001, years that preceded my judicial career, I served as Vice-Chair of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. In the quarter century that has passed since then, the Democratic Party has changed. Nazi tattoos, jihadist chants, intimidation and attacks at synagogues, and other hateful anti-Jewish invective and actions are minimized, ignored, and even coddled. Acquiescence to Jew-hatred is now disturbingly common among activists, leaders and even many elected officials in the Democratic Party. I can no longer abide this. So, I won’t. I am no longer registered within any political party. It is my hope that Pennsylvanians, and Americans, of all viewpoints and backgrounds will oppose and resist the scourge of Jew-hatred before it undermines what our ancestors have built here.

JFK would not recognize today's Democrat Party. A lifelong Pittsburgh Democrat, former PA Dem Party vice chair, and sitting PA Supreme Court Justice David Wecht just quit the party over its exploding antisemitism: 'Nazi tattoos, jihadist chants, synagogue attacks... minimized, ignored, and coddled.' Tens of thousands of hard-working Pennsylvanians are seeing this for themselves.

Fetterman has long been a strong supporter of Israel, who told Fox News Channel's Laura Ingraham in April, "As Democrats continue to abandon Israel, I'll be the last man standing if that's what's necessary." It has put Fetterman at odds with his party, which has made no secret of the fact that they plan to primary him in 2028. He has also come out against his party, calling Republicans and President Trump "Nazis" and "fascists," saying he won't “be that guy" to slap that label on his political opponents.

Justice Wecht said that the switch in his party affiliation from Democrat to Independent “will have minimal impact on the balance of power in the state’s Supreme Court." Wouldn't it be interesting if it did?

Tree of Life survivor’s family sees the truth. Democrats imported and embraced the real antisemitism.
