It may have begun before President Donald Trump arrived on the political stage, but his election and reelection have certainly brought front and center the ever-quickening slide of Democrats from just being left-wingers to straight-up socialists. They continue to champion issues and candidates that the American people told them last November they had absolutely no interest in. But now, with under a week to go in the New York City mayoral race, there is a handful of Democrats who are starting to figure out that, when it came to candidates to run the biggest city in America, maybe they should have spoken up a little sooner.
I have good news and bad news about Mamdani.

First, the bad: he does serious damage to NYC.
But now the good: he likely signals the beginning of the end for the Democrat Party. They’ve gone so fringe to fight Trump they can’t even see the Overton window.
There is a handful of Democrats, dare we call them "sensible," that are beginning to sweat over the possibility that self-proclaimed democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani seems all but certain to become the next mayor of the Big Apple. Longtime Democrat strategist Fernand Amandi said this:
“It’s one thing for Republicans to use absurd attacks calling Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi socialists to scare voters. It’s another thing to use an actual socialist to scare voters about the Democrats being the party of socialists, and that’s the concern about Mamdani.”
In an interview with The Washington Post, Democrat Rep. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05) stated that Mamdani holds "extremist views," which are not the views of the Democrat party as a whole (could have fooled us). He went on to say that he fears that Republicans will morph Mamdani into a bogeyman, and the 2026 campaign commercials will write themselves. Gottheimer added, “If we’re focused on playing defense on Mamdani, that will be a … major distraction."
But some of those sweaty Democrats are doing what they always do: play word games. Rep. Tom Suozzi (NY-03) ran cover for Mamdani, calling him a “democratic capitalist, not a democratic socialist." What does that even mean? He made sure to add that socialism is a “failed economic system” that “hasn’t ever worked in the history of the world. That’s just not something that we endorse or support." Rep. Laura Gillen (NY-04) says she disagrees with many of Mamdani's ideas and has called for her fellow Democrats to declare that "we are not socialists." If you have to say you are not socialists...
Bill Maher WARNS DEMOCRATS on Mamdani's popularity: “This is not just New York on the ballot.”

In a bizarro world where Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has been a voice of reason, it turns out that HBO Host Bill Maher is also speaking some common sense. He recently made a statement that those Democrats not on board the Mamdani bandwagon know in their hearts are true. Maher said:
“I think the whole Democratic Party in the country is on the ballot, and the whole country will be looking at this race to see which way are the Democrats going to go."
National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) spokesman Mike Marinella says the instincts of those doubting Democrats are spot on:
So-called "Leader" Hakeem Jeffries’ signed a deal with the socialist devil, and now every House Democrat is dragging an anvil of radical socialism into 2026. The NRCC will make sure voters know what the modern Democrat Party now stands for.
DIG DEEPER: Zohran Mamdani 'Clarifies' Story About His Aunt With an Unbelievable Answer
Mamdani offers the socialist (communist) fairy tale of taxing richer, whiter neighborhoods, free everything, and has stated that billionaires should not exist. But he was also caught in quite a whopper. My colleague, Sister Toldjah, recently reported on the fact that Mamdani's story about an aunt who, after 9/11, was afraid to ride the subway because she was wearing a hijab is patently false. The relative in question is actually a now-deceased cousin. But the next logical question is: what else is he lying about?
With a week to go, Mamdani is polling at 43.8 percent, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is at 33.6 percent, and Republican Curtis Sliwa is at a distant 10.8 percent. Democrats sure picked a fine time to panic.
Many are now warning Democrats of Mamdani’s impact on the future of the party, many say Democratic party will be on the ledge.

The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
