Michael Knowles, a writer and podcast host for Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire appeared on Fox Monday to discuss Greta Thunberg’s lecture to the United Nations. In the discussion Michael Knowles stated “The climate hysteria movement is not about science,” Knowles said. “If it were about science, it would be led by scientists, rather than by politicians and a mentally ill Swedish child who is being exploited by her parents and by the international left.” The statement was met by swift condemnation from Fox where they have stated they have no plans on bringing Knowles back on future shows and called his comments “disgraceful”.

I’m confused on how telling the truth is disgraceful. Thunberg is autistic, has selective mutism, is OCD, this is certainly a child who is mentally disabled, and it is very apparent she is being used by the Left for precisely the reason that Fox is condemning Knowles, because she’s a disabled child. The Left consistently uses children to spew political rhetoric precisely so when anyone pushes back they can respond with exactly what Chris Hahn, a progressive podcaster who was also a guest on Fox, said “you should be ashamed, she is a child”.  The Left doesn’t care about childhood innocence, they care that you can’t call out Thunberg’s climate hysteria because she’s a child.

To the Left Greta Thunberg isn’t an activist, she’s a weapon. Fox should be ashamed for bowing to what they had to have known was the reason this girl is being dragged out of school and glontrotted on million dollar yachts to lecture political leaders, because the Left wants to call anyone who questions her a big meanie for questioning the poor disabled girl. Everyone knows what these people are doing is disgusting and abusive, I just wish Fox had the fortitude to stand up against such blatant abuse of a disabled girl.

One can only hope that Ben Shapiro will embody his “facts don’t care about your feelings” attitude and defend his employee Michael Knowles, unfortunately I’m not going to hold my breath because I’ve seen Shapiro bend to liberal outrage mobs before, and honestly wouldn’t be suprised if Knowles may be fighting for his position at the Daily Wire as well. For what it’s worth Michael, you did nothing wrong.
