I know that serving in the Senate and campaigning against a strong competitor can’t necessarily be compared to any kind of love relationship but for some reason, this song came to mind when reading streiff’s diary about Thad Cochran’s campaign’s unwillingness to realize Thad’s use by date came and went. It’s all getting a bit pitiful but I can actually visualize Cochran talking to his mistress about 50 Ways to Leave the Senate.
