The more we learn about Dr. Anthony Fauci, the more troubling the picture of his career becomes. It's become abundantly clear that he was not a man of science, but a backdrop manipulator, a purveyor of bad advice, a self-promoter, who managed to make himself one of the wealthiest men in government service.
It seems that Anthony Fauci, post-retirement, got himself involved in countries other than China, and managed to get American taxpayer funding for at least one of his post-retirement efforts. Writing on her Substack, War Room podcast co-host Natalie Winters has painted a very troubling picture of a retired bureaucrat who is using what's left of his influence to funnel American taxpayer dollars abroad. She has all the receipts.
Corruption, thy name is Anthony Fauci.
Just three months after leaving the federal government, Anthony Fauci took an advisory role at a newly created, Italian government-backed center devoted to vaccines and pandemic preparedness.
Less than 18 months later, Fauci’s former agency awarded more than $44 million to a pandemic-vaccine research program co-led by the center’s scientific director, the same scientist Fauci had agreed to advise.
Now, procurement records from the Italian institute provide an additional receipt: research connected to the NIH-funded program is being carried out inside the organization Fauci joined after leaving office.
The previously unreported sequence reveals another striking intersection between Fauci’s post-government activities and the massive infectious-disease funding apparatus he controlled for nearly four decades.
Note that the Italian institute Fauci became involved with is not overtly engaged in gain-of-function research, like a certain Fauci-funded laboratory in Wuhan, China was said to have been doing. But they are doing vaccine research with an eye towards possible future pandemics.
The real question here is why, after all that has transpired, after the COVID-19 panic proved to be one of the most overblown non-issues since the Dancing Plague of 1518, after all the questions about where the National Institutes of Health (NIH) sent American taxpayers' dollars at Fauci's behest, why would an Italian vaccine research group bring Anthony Fauci on board? The obvious answer is that, despite all that has transpired, Fauci still has connections inside the American government. Those connections were sufficient to get Fauci's new partners funded to the tune of 44 million American dollars. It seems very likely that at least part of the reason for retaining Fauci was because of that very influence, now thankfully dwindling.
Natalie Winters concludes:
Fauci spent nearly four decades controlling NIAID, one of the most powerful infectious-disease funding agencies on the planet.
Within months of leaving that post, he attached himself to a foreign-government-backed pandemic center led by a longtime scientific associate.
That associate subsequently became one of the principal investigators on a $44 million NIAID-funded vaccine and antibody program.
His Italian institute became an official participating institution.
And its own records now show laboratory purchases tied directly to an NIH ReVAMPP project.
Because of course they do. And, no doubt, if questioned about this, Dr. Fauci will again invoke his Fifth Amendment rights and, once more, clam up.
The more we learn about Dr. Anthony Fauci, the more it becomes apparent that this man is the epitome of a Washington swamp creature: Self-promoting, money-hungry, pursuing a political agenda while piously proclaiming, "I am science." No, Dr. Fauci, you are corruption. The only thing Dr. Fauci is missing is a dacha in the woods outside Moscow, and his transition to government apparatchik will be complete.
