When it comes to advocates for overbearing government control, be they "democratic socialists" (commies) or climate change panic-mongers, it's always about having the right decision-makers in charge. Pointing out that socialism, communism, and central control never have and never will work, when all the historical failures of central control are pointed out, they simply insist that "that wasn't real socialism/communism/climate control" and that they will do it better this time, because they will have the right people making the decisions for everyone else.
In the case of the climate scolds, that will involve them deciding for you where you will live, what vehicle you will drive, how warm you will keep your home in winter, and how cool in summer. As I've said on this issue for many years, it's not about the climate. It's about control. It has always been about control; it will always be about control. They claim it's about the climate, about saving the Earth (the Earth isn't in any danger). It's not.
Now, at least in the case of one scold, the mask is off.
Central holistic planning (think global government) is needed to organize a dysfunctional world. That is what the climate architects dream about. Enter “planet regeneration” and “macro-systemic architect” Greg Reynolds, who has the post below on social media. It concerns one utility practice; there are thousands more needed to “save” the planet. From the center.
This post from Behavior x Climate names something I’ve watched for years: the climate blame game. Consumers point at corporations. Corporations point to demand. Governments point at voters. Around and around. Progress slows. The planet burns.

Now, this Greg Reynolds has his eye on the main chance, at least from his point of view: He has a climate, energy-use agenda, and he no doubt sees himself as the right guy to make these decisions for everyone else. That's always how it works for these people. Reynolds bemoans the society that disagrees with his viewpoint, claiming they suffer "a failure of sight." Well, no, Mr. Reynolds, we don't suffer a failure of sight. We have ample sight, and that sight, focused on past and present, focused on facts, focused on geological history and political history, informs us of a few key things:
- The Earth's climate has always changed and always will, due to the vast cycles and rhythms, solar, geological, oceanic and more, on which the planet runs. Some of those cycles are measured in dozens of years, some in thousands, some in millions. We are a small part of it. Yes, the climate has been warming for the last couple of hundred years. That's in large part because the climate is still on the uptick from the last major glaciation, which ended about 11,000 years ago.
- Communism, socialism, central control have never worked and never will. No central planner can hope to substitute for millions of people making billions of economic decisions, every moment of every day. The only acceptable economic system promotes individual decisions, individual choices, which leaves people free to make their own choices, to use their assets, their skills, their talents and their resources to their own benefit. In other words: Liberty.

The utility’s grid upgrades become watershed restoration. The data center’s compliance dollars become community dividends. The ratepayer’s fragmented value becomes financial resilience. Not new money. Better use of money already moving.
Not blame. Visibility. Not “who’s responsible?” but “who’s ready to see the whole?”

The hive? That term alone speaks volumes. It speaks of collectivism, not liberty. Reynolds asks, "Who's ready to see the whole?" What he appears to be implying is, "Who's ready to seize control?"
This isn't about the climate. Oh, the scolds, like Reynolds, claim it is. It's not. It never was. Like the "democratic socialists" who are mounting an insurgency in the American Democrat party right now, they intend to set up central control with climate change, not as a reason, but as an excuse. These people are all of a kind, all creatures of the political left, all convinced they know what's best for us better than we do. In other words, they see themselves as the Top Men, the ones to decide for the rest of us what we eat, what we wear, what we drive (if indeed we're allowed to drive) and where we live.
With these people, it's always about control. Overbearing control, with what the far-left deems the right Top Men in charge.
