Far-Left DSA Fanatics Now 'Very Thrilled' for AOC 2028 POTUS Run

While the Democratic Party sure looks to be in the middle of a takeover by the nutbar communist wing, one has to admit, there is some amusement in watching the other side attempt to win the contest by punching themselves repeatedly in the face. Oh, the commie wing of the party, who insist on being called by the oxymoron "democratic socialist," have scored a few victories, but most of those are in far-left jurisdictions, many of which have drifted farther to the left as all the productive people have left for places like Florida and Texas.

But the commies, represented now (they say) by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are mustering no small amount of hubris about these wins, and are now starting to get themselves lathered up about their big genius pick for the 2028 presidential election: The former bartender, Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or AOC (NY-14).

Yeah, that would be the smart play. For Republicans.

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) New York City co-Chair Gustavo Gordillo remarked on MS NOW Thursday that his organization would be "thrilled" if Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., decided to run for president in 2028.
In light of another DSA-backed candidate defeating an incumbent Democratic candidate in the Colorado primary elections, "MS NOW Reports" host Antonia Hylton asked Gordillo if his organization had begun any work on the 2028 presidential election.
"I think that we will be trying to influence the next presidential primary," Gordillo answered. "And it’s still too soon to say how...to say who."

So, for the third time in four presidential elections, you'll try to nominate the weakest candidate in the field? The most inept, clueless, and aggressively ignorant person in the field? Yeah, you let us know how that works out for you. AOC, we might note, has all of the charm and personal appeal of Hillary Clinton and all of the polished speaking skills of Kamala Harris, while also possessing the economic acumen of a Yorkshire terrier.

Imagine her in a debate with JD Vance or Marco Rubio.

But the DSA thinks she'd be great.

He (Gustavo Gordillo) added, "You know, I think that many in the organization would be very thrilled if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ended up running, but ultimately that’s her decision, and we’ll be in conversation."

Republicans would be thrilled, too.

Here's the thing: There's an enormous difference between winning a House seat in a district as deeply Democratic as NY-14, which would elect a stuffed armadillo to the House if it had a "D" after its name, and winning a presidential election. AOC did the former, sure, but she wouldn't stand much chance at the latter, unless the entire Trump administration happened to get caught up in something catastrophic, and that doesn't seem likely. As for 2028, the vice president and anyone else who may be in the GOP field are probably hitting their knees every night praying that the Democrats run someone from the kook/commie wing of the party.

If the Democrats were even halfway smart, which assumes facts not in evidence, then they would go hat in hand to someone like Joe Manchin or maybe Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) and say, "Please save us." But now, that doesn't seem likely. And that's a good thing.
